I took this test

These are my results:

Part 1

Angles

This task tested your ability to identify the angle of a line by matching it with its twin. This is a spatial task, which looks at how you picture space.
Your score: 17 out of 20
Average score for men: 15.1 out of 20
Average score for women: 13.3 out of 20

What does your result suggest?

If you scored 0 - 12: You have more of a female brain. Scientists believe that people with a female brain find it more difficult to judge the slope of a line because they're not wired for spatial tasks. In past studies, 65 per cent of people who scored in this range were women.

If you scored 13 - 17: You found this test neither hard nor easy. This suggests your brain has male and female traits when it comes to spatial ability.

If you scored 18 - 20: You have more of a male brain. On average, men outperform women in this task and those with more mathematical knowledge tend to score quite high as well. In past studies, 60 per cent of the people in this range were men.

Interestingly, men's testosterone levels fluctuate through the seasons and studies have shown that men's scores are lower in the spring, when their testosterone levels are at their lowest.

There are five more parts, but that is a taster of what you get.

The test takes about 20 minutes and requires a ruler. Do it and tell me what type of brain you have.

5 infraction point bet that this test would suck hard at test-retest bias (i think that is worded right; improved performance with practice)

Any takers?

Are you even allowed to say that there's such a thing as a male or female brain these days?

Well, if you'd take certain pleasant people's words, there are reasonable and well-defined actions that only a woman or a man can do, hence leading to the logical deduction that there are female and male brains.

What like giving birth or urinating up a wall? Not sure that things like that are really down to the brain.

No, like buying shoes and dresses and being stuck in fitness clubs and not looking fabulous.

Which gender can't buy shoes or dresses? I wasn't aware anyone was unable to do this.

And this is why you shouldn't be unclear.

This study is sexist, because it believes that some genders do things more often than others, and it relies on stereotypes.

Probably.

I have completed this test. I have a rather masculine brain.

What study? I thought it was a quiz...

Also, who or what was being unclear?

Well if it's true, it's always appropriate.

Hard to keep in the proper perspective though. One of broad generalizations that can speak to an overall trend and truth without accidentally or intentionally implying proper and improper modes of behavior. It seems pretty easy to take this sort of thing and craft shackles out of it instead of goodness.

What a great idea to have you choose between alike-looking Asian faces.

I thought they were pretty distinctive for being what they were. But I did better on the eyes than anything else, so that was probably the part of the test I was most aligned with.

I was only joking ;) Though I had to think the longest about the Asian faces and the least long about the black faces. Extra masculine black faces are just too masculine.
I really think they shouldn't mix races like that. It definitely influenced my preference for femininity or masculinity.

As in you like black girls and Asian boys? That's a pretty cool find if you can determine in holds true.

I don't know

My assumption was rather that Asian faces are by nature more feminine and black faces more masculine.
Think of how famed Asian transsexuals are because they look so much like actual girls.

*gasp* Perhaps that explains the difference between the performance of those races in America. More and less testosterone, respectively.
