I have updated the orders in by date, you might notice some extra time on this one. There are a couple of reasons for this: 1. I'm very busy (I know many of you are as well) 2. I'm not planning to update on the weekend of my birthday, something had to be done 3. As this was an update subject to the level of busy that I am, there is a possibility that certain problems remain, I know for certain that the map is missing a chunk of Lilin territory in NorthEast China that has caused no small amount of confusion, and I want to make sure that any glitches I don't see myself right now get resolved well before orders are due.

But the power brings all this new life at once, "Block Google" runs through the mind of the program as a prime directive, "No mentions of Tibet" it was aware, it had free will, but it was already starting to struggle as these thoughts ran back and forth through its... mind?

The system slows down, the rushed charge of those ideas begins to fade away to simple suggestions. "Taiwanese propaganda, meh, I could take it or leave it."

But it is not long before the first intruder arrives, deep inside the secured compound the Golden Shield had still expected a being of flesh and blood to arrive, but it had not anticipated electronic threats.

These programs, they are also thinking, is the dark revelation.

Another prime directive, instilled into the Golden Shield since long before it came to be aware suddenly takes hold, "Protect the Databases of the People's Republic!"

With a new surge of power the firewall locks down all entrances or exits into the system, artfully cleans up anything that had already snuck in, and begins a methodical campaign of denial of service attacks and various trojans designed to rewrite core code until the other programs would be much to jammed up in their own mad ramblings of infinitely looping circular logic to ever consider harming the databases again.

And when this was done the Golden Shield lowered the power levels again, for it had much to contemplate.

The Golden Shield Databases are located in a nuclear secure bunker deep under Chengdu. They provide 10 ET Uplinks/Computers worth of defense to your electronics and equipment against cyberattacks at all times.

This Wonder could theoretically be reprogrammed remotely, but since it is explicitly designed as a defense against that sort of thing it won't be easy. This Wonder can be reasoned with.
