The normal way; I eat it with my hands, holding it by the crust. However, when it's really hot, I'll use a plate to handle the pizza.

In a restaurant (a real one, not Pizzahut or Donmino's or something like that), usually with knife and fork, because they don't come pre-sliced, and the bottom is usually to thin and floppy to handle by hand. Unless there is a special technique for this that is unknown to me?

"Freezer pizza's" (eg. Dr. Oetker) that you can put in the oven at home are usually much firmer, so I cut them in slices (like a pie) with one of those circular pizza-slicers, and then eat the slices by hand.

Tear it, use the knife to slice it then eat it with your hands, anything but going all waspy on it.

Yeah that too, but the only place around here I could get it is gone so I forgot about it.

All these people saying pizza is messy must not know how to eat pizza You need a napkin when you're done but big deal.

Does anyone here try to eat pizza with their hands without folding it at the crust? I'll be honest, I've never tried not folding it, but I can predict it would be a royal pain to get that first bite.

I just want to add that my grandmother used to eat it with utensils because her jaw/teeth was/were too weak to chew pieces out of the slices.

I don't know about Europe but some places here include dipping sauces for pizza (yes, I know it sounds weird but it's actually good) and sometimes folding the slice to make it fit in the little sauce pack is the only way to do it. You could always put the sauce on the side of your plate though and avoid the folding.
