After a while it would not make sense to have separate forums anymore, since most people will have the expansion eventually.

Actually, now that you've created it, wouldn't it make more sense to make it a subforum of Civ4 General Discussion? I automatically went there first

WOW looked at the Warlords forum and its taking off like a raced ape.

I'm not very fond of the new Warlord subforum. It's easier for the minority not owning Warlords to ignore post relating to it than for the Warlord owners to keep track of two forums at the same time.

Also, where should i open new threads about the core games now? Vanilla or Warlords? Do i have to remember if a certain feature or tweak was already there in Vanilla?

We never had a PTW forum. And we had a Conquests forum largely because the publisher asked for it.

And yes, the Conquests forum was merged back into the CIv3 forums.

There was a need for it since the game mechanincs were different from the previous installment, but now with the new sequel, we do not need the extra Conquests forum, but anyway, it is generally the standard for playing Civ3, so bacisally I still see it is a Conquest forum with the others added along to it.
