And I am not at all surprised to see one ethnocentric poster defending another's right to post ethnocentric things.
He posts about what he cares about, but I'm puzzled as to why. To promote an appreciation of Poland? If anything, it's backfired. I used to like Poland, but this unrelenting bombardment of all things Polish by a Pole has made me associate Poland with annoyance itself, and likewise with Greece. It's nationalistic, narcissistic ethnocentrism, loving a country and being obsessed with it just because you were born there. This glut of nationalistic posts on Poland and Greece has been noticed all across OT and WH. Others have noticed Polonocentric threadjacking; I recall one instance where Domen hijacked a thread to promote Poland, and someone responded by posting a Polandball picture captioned, "hey guys let's talk about Poland". And VRWC became so tired of a flood of Grecocentric posts that he vowed not to make any America-centric threads (or was it posts?) for a year. In fact, I've already had this exact conversation in another thread, but Domen ignored it.
I'm strongly interested in, even obsessed with body armor, and to a lesser extent with steppe history. I find my own country's history boring, so you won't see me making US-centric threads more than other threads. But neither will you see me say that much about armor and steppe history. That's because I know that most other posters don't care about these things, and that if I keep posting what I like in almost every thread I visit regardless of context and create dozens of threads on these topics, I'll annoy everyone else to the point that they'll hate my interests, and that's no fun.
