v0.8.2 released:
  • 4 new World Wonders (Kew Gardens, Trans-Siberian Railway, Zócalo and Ruhr Valley);
  • modified theming bonuses (base :tourism:/:c5culture:) for all wonders in the mod; all of them were bumped to make them more competitive comparing to base buildings and other base wonders;
  • some small text tweaks;
  • fixed flavours for Darjeeling;
  • added splash art for new wonders and icons from @hokath;

@hokath Your icons are good, but smallest ones in game lack contrast and are just a mix of colours. You cannot distinguish anything on them. Compared to original ones they should be tweaked if possible. I tested for now Zocalo, Siberian Railway and Kew Gardens.

Ok cool I can block in the colours on the small ones. Do you know what size it starts at, like 80 or 64? I'll check myself also.
 
80 probably is used in Wonder Planner it is blurred there too. Try 80, 64 and 45.
 
Ok, I'll do them all together after Modern is done.

In other news, I forgot there was already a Rockefeller icon. Do you prefer Sukritact's or my new one?

There is a bug with Kew Gardens, I can build it even without completing rationalism and I can still build Bletchey.

v0.8.3 out:
  • Banff Springs Hotel and Orszaghaz available;
  • fixed Kew Gardens.
Verify how many League Votes are given by Orszaghaz for Defensive Pacts (1 per 1, 1 per 2 etc.). I couldn't check that, so I assumed 1 per 2;

@hokath Why did you chang style of background for new Wonder pictures? Your current one is more artistic, I like it, but misses civ's sunbeams. I noticed it in Orszaghaz, Akihabara, Ruhr Valley, Rockefeller... We should follow their style if possible.

Do you experience CTDs with latest VP?

I'll start a game with the new DLL
I noticed they don't sunbeam the ones at night (makes sense, eh) so I didn't for those, the Rockefeller is an oversight.
 
@adan_eslavo. Hi Adan. Is version 0.8.3 compatible with Even More Resources for Vox Populi (v 5)? Because as I remember it was a possibility of conflict between mods due to difference in AssignStartingPlots.lua file.

Download the file I posted here. It will be available in mod folder from version above v0.8.3. It is file from EMR v5 with my few changes.

I tried the last version, definitely, I love this mod and the originality of the wonders, arts, choices, effects, ...
I'am a big fan of Trans-Siberian Railway, Panama Canal and Ruhr Valley :)


Some remarks and test results :

check Floating Gardens bug if it is still present!
No more problem with that.

[BUG] zimbabwe has XP problem and qalhat not even using same code; posted on VP github;
I play with a civilization that I modified, the unique building gives + 1 XP per forest and I see the same bug. it doesn't help but it confirms :sad:.

In texts of Ruhr Valley and Banff Spring Hotel, the industry finisher notification don't appear.

For Kuk, I think you could put as a limitation of terrain, swamp and jungle. Too often the AI launches construction when it just has a small swamp in a corner when it is, in my opinion, more of a wonder to start a civilization lost between jungle and swamp.

In futur transport wonders, if you choose to include it, Concorde was a Franco-English partnership, let us give back to Caesar what belongs to him or rather to Elisabeth II :queen:.

On another level, I haven't tested the natural wonders part, I use a communitas modified by me with the functionality of Even More Resources included which didn't pose a problem but with the inclusion of the new natural wonders, I have a map really weird, without the added resources and with swamps that look like tundra :confused:
But I haven't tested much, I'll come back to talk about it when it's done.

I did small tweaks to core file to make Even More Resources compatible with More Wonders, so any other mode, which changes that file (AssignStartingPlots.lua) will be incompatible as default. For EMR I posted special file, like for 43-civ version.

Can you check if XP bug is present with your mode + VP without More Wonders? This would confirm that my mod is not the source of the problem. Post necessary images/notes on VP github if possible.

Concorde is planned to be included.
 
@gwennog XP topic: Did you do some further testing? Did you or someone else posted some expanded info on its own github issue? My was just closed by G, so without help I cannot bring the attention for that problem.

@pineappledan, can you help with that? Do you experience similar problems? Anyone using pure VP has the same problem?
 
None for now. I will try to write something this week (no promise), but first I need to sketch plan for new wonder's abilities.
All my topics from github are closed (I commented with asking why) so no bug fix from VP so far. They are ignoring the problems. Community help in that matter would be invaluable.

The more people check the thing, and write on github their comments, the more pression will be put on VP modders.
