I haven't experienced XP problems outside this mod. TBH, I haven't played civ in over a month now

Do you think it can be related to the fact, that XP bonus (taken from Brandenburg Gate) is placed on dummy? Same code for Qalhat was reported to work fine, but instead of XP it gives :c5culture:; I checked code dozens of times, played few short gameplay tests with IGE and I have no idea what causes it :undecide: @gwennog says he has similar problem in his mod. I'm waiting for more info (his mod without MW).

No info from @Gazebo/@ilteroi and the VP team about closed topics, so plans must be changed I suppose (Zimbabwe XP, mountain walking, building requirements)...

I'm curious about one thing for your dummy. It is set up to only exist in the capital or can it exist in other cities as well. If the dummy somehow gets duplicated while modified by trade routes, I can see how it can be a weird number when working with a global EX gain. This is one issue I encountered before when modding but unsure if it's of any help for you.

I checked other cities and they have no copies, leftovers or whatever. The only copies are set in city where wonder was built. I'm done with this bug, so I will rework the ability probably. The other thing is Qalhat uses almost same code for placing dummy (only requirements are slightly different) and it works well...

On the other hand, Natural Wonder's model finally work! With @Iamblichos we've managed to make them work so in next version they will be present. Giant's Causeway and Salar are ok, but Mt. Everest is far from ok. Of course all of them should be reworked some day, but, for now, they can be played.

If you know talented 3d artist eager to help, please sent him/her to me :p

Just say ugly, and don't spoil your mod with that!
:agree:, but I will try (I don't know how) to make it better. That's why help of 3D artist would be invaluable.

Another huge milestone! I managed to make one wonder to consist of two types of tiles:

Spoiler Salar :

As I said I started wokring on v0.9. Because we've managed to fix NW models with @Iamblichos, I decided to devote this update mostly to them. This is what I did so far:
Spoiler pre v0.9 :

  • promotion icon update for Trans-Siberian Railway from @Asterix Rage;
  • Kuk will require Jungle instead of Flat;
  • many text corrections;
  • Natural Wonders
    • fixed Old Faithful giving 1 GSciP instead of 2;
    • balanced yields and yields per era for most of NWs; now they are more worthy and powerful;
    • changed abilities:
      • Salar de Uyuni: because VP is not going to fix resources, it is now giving +5% global :c5food: per tile (stacking);
      • Grand Mesa: because VP is not going to fix XP bug, it will give +5 :c5war: Military Supply Cap instead of global +15XP;
      • Krakatoa: gives additionally +5% global :c5science:;
      • Cerro de Potosi: now only 1 :trade: TR;
    • new abilities:
      • Rock of Gibraltar: +1 :c5influence: League Vote;
      • Great Barrier Reef: +1 :c5food: and +1 :c5science: to all Fishing Boats;
      • Giant's Causeway: +25% :tourism: to all Landmarks;
      • Lake Victoria: allows global Food Trade Routes;
    • models for all 3 added NWs work now properly:
      • Salar de Uyuni has two different models for each tile; models are bigger;
      • Giant's Causeway has recoloured model from the original;
      • Mt. Everest has scaled down model from the original;
    • added few things towards new NW: Lake Retba:
    • made additional table with all info needed to compare NWs:
      upload_2020-8-13_18-25-54.png
  • prepared stuff for new Modern World Wonders;
  • added new art from @hokath to the mod folder; cleaned up folders;
  • SOON more!

Wise decision. Sometime, a modmod is a "son-mod" that does things with what the "father-mod" gives... :pat:

It's a pity that guys just ignored the threads on github, to close them after 3 months without a word... The biggest issue is one with building requirements, where you declare buildingclass, but only base buildings in buildingclass are taken into account (uniques aren't). That thing concerns me the most.

These 5 last months have been the worst on VP History. All modmods work better than VP itself !
Come back later with your requests, when VP base will be great again...

That's what I managed to make without creating proper "model" for Lake Retba. It is only reskin of Salar de Uyuni. Proper model could have trees and more details around lake, but I will pass for now.

How many cities civ usually has on duel/tiny/small/standard/large/huge? Is this number steady or varies from size to size?

Further developement towards v0.9:
Spoiler pre v0.9 v2 :

  • added Siku Quanshu - last industrial wonder;
  • fixed collision definition for multitile NWs in AssignStartingPlots.lua and applied to all versions;
  • Salar de Uyuni:
    • now has to versions of tiles with different names and abilities slightly differentiated:
upload_2020-8-14_22-26-41.png

  • small version has 5% global Fd bonus; big has 10%;
  • both versions have models much closer to real look of wonder:
upload_2020-8-14_22-28-37.png
upload_2020-8-14_22-29-23.png

  • added randomizer for multitile wonders; now Salar checks all possible tiles around, choose one at random and there it places second tile; no more only NE direction for second tile;
  • Lake Retba:
    • now spawns at grass/plains coast (only 4 land and 2 coast tile combo) and is surrounded by Forests;
    • adjusted scaling for Lake to fit better surrounding forests;

It would be great to have that 0.9 version this weekend along with the August VP version release.:crazyeye::king::goodjob::love::D

You may always download current Github version and compile it by yourself if you really want to play. Remember that it is not stable version, so if you find crucial bug, contact me.
Long before Climate Change
Huh, then I will modify it.
