Here is the link to the original twitter post with the revolving era wheel. I know I saw a full image of the wheel somewhere, but I don't recall where.

Perhaps, but isn't that more of an argument for Rome exists, so they won't do Italy? At the risk of stirring the Italy pot, is that a fasces I see in the second image?

I looked over it again just now, and I'm not seeing anything that would hint at a specific civilization to be revealed.
But I want a surprise! We already knew most of the Civs (six) before they even showed us the Monday hintsThis is why we need leaks guys.
Now we're analyzing a months-old teaser for the expansion that doesn't give any hints towards civs that are already revealed.
I see a train in the wheel but still no railroads. I don't know what to make of it.
Gilgamesh speaks Old Akkadian instead of Sumerian, right? So Etruscan leader could speak Latin instead of Etruscan (Latin was likely a second language for Etrsucans). And we know enough about Etruscan kings and even queens (e.g. Thanchvil) to implement one of them in the R&F. The real problem would be with their UU. I can't imagine any but an unique builder.
Point still stands, though - language is hardly an obstacle for them when choosing a particular civ for inclusion. Unless it's Pueblo.I'm not a fan of the possible Etruscan leader speaking Latin in Civ6. The Etruscan language is non-Indo-European and hence fascinating to me.![]()
Israel is never going to happen probably. Too controversial even depicting Ancient Israel, which I would love. There was mention of Queen Judith of Ethiopia being a Jewish leader, however I am more partial to Axum era Ethiopia, which she laid waste to by destroying the monuments and churches of that era.Just a thought (and I know this would break the pattern that was started by Civ V), but what if some of the new civs/leaders chosen will be related to religions that are yet to have AI civs choosing them? As it is, not all the religions will be chosen by the AI, but some are left out. There may be a couple of exceptions to this, even if this is the case (and it probably is not the case, but just airing a thought really) such as Shintoism, being that Japan selects Buddhism (although could they make it that Japan will randomly select one of those 2 religions?), but otherwise, maybe the Devs would think of including another civs that would select one of the unselected religions? Like Israel for Judaism, and a secondary Chinese leader for Confucianism?
Druidism is already in the game: it's called selecting a pantheon belief. If they add the Celts, Druidism could be included as their choice.
I just posted a new thread to specifically discuss this (Link: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/expanding-of-religions.626869/), but I will answer these posts quickly...Israel is never going to happen probably. Shintoism could only be used for another Japanese leader and even then Shinto was kind of infused with Buddhism when. Confucianism spread across to Japan, Korea, even Vietnam, but I would still say it would be best for another Chinese leader. Sikhism is less likely as we are probably not going to get another Indian leader, even though it was founded in present-day Pakistan.

Yeah, let's leave neo-paganism out of it...Modern Druids have nothing to do with the actual religious practices of the Celts.I'm sure Modern Druids would argue that they are more than that. Other religious ideas are more vague and generic however, such as Animism, Shamanism, and especially the term Traditional religion.
It already is. Any leader who doesn't favor a religion randomly selects one.At least religions like Sikhism and Shintoism would be occasionally chosen by the AI, rather than never.
I've had Shinto Gilgamesh, Jewish Cleopatra and Sikh Phillip before. At least religions like Sikhism and Shintoism would be occasionally chosen by the AI, rather than never.
Reminds me of Chichen Itza being a Great Wonder in the game too (Mayan city)Well the Great Wall was made into a UI from a wonder, Machu Picchu could be done similarly.
