Question what will happen to polynesia border colour or in better words what colour will polynesia borders be since netherlands now have polynesia's border colour. Because both have orange and yellow orange for border yellow for city.
Anyone think that ciV should have a feature where you can choose your OWN civ color (like in Age of Empires)? One of the reasons I dont play as Germany is because being gray just makes me feel drab lol.

Once you pass the twenty civs mark it's inevitable that some civs will have similar colours. There are, however, too many variations on dark red and white, and with G&K, grey and dark green. Also a lot of the colours are inappropriate for the civ: greens for China and India; dark reds for England and Spain, brown for Denmark; dark grey for the Iroquois. Personally, I mod about 90% of them to other colours. I prefer to use the colours of a civ's early-modern military uniforms where possible.
But, I do hate that each civ's 'logo' retains the same old colour scheme. I know there is a way to change that, because if there are two of the same civ in a game, it gives one a different colour scheme, even replacing the logo. I just don't know how to mod that.
[Sorry for the long post. This is just a pet peeve of mine.]
They won't change the colours for any civs, I see it as VERY unlikely, the colours are fine enough. It helps playing with the Score list to be prefectly honest, and after few times you memorize the colours anyway.
It might not be so bad. The civs in the game have two colors in their color scheme. The Polynesians are orange and yellow, the Dutch are orange and white.
The only times I have gotten confused is when Korea is in my game but I don't know exactly where they are yet. Sometimes I'll mistake a Korean warrior, spearman or archer for a barbarian unit.

One thing that drives me crazy is when Greece and Japan are adjacent to each other on the map; you can't really tell where the border lies between them. It's a shame they don't give you the option to have the map draw a black line down the border between them (or any other civ) to demarcate it a little better. Or an outline in the civ's other color, the one the city dots are.
I also wish we had the ideas of "counties" which would be a thin line that would be drawn around the "worked" and "acquired" tiles of a single city (so London County would have all of the tiles that London is working as well as any tiles that it acquired (that are far away to work)

I was quite confused what the problem was (Greece has a clear light blue border while Japan has a vey clear red border) until I guess you were referring to the mini-map. I didn't think anyone based spatial decisions off of that without looking at the either the real or strategic map.
The colours are supposed to represent a Civs culture, Geography, flags or icons Ect. Germanys grey and black represents the Iron Fist associated with it's military. Englands is Red and Crimson because of the Red Rose symbol.

I thought it was Germany's Iron Cross and England's flag, a red cross on a white field.
Green is used for China because of Jade.
The Iroquois colors are forest tones, like camouflage.
I also mistake Korean units for barbarians. The shade of blue is too dark.
I find Spanish and Mongolian colors to be the easiest to confuse.
I think it's going to be hard to tell Austria and England apart. One is deep red and white, the other is bright red and silver. Carthage, Byzantines, and Germany are going to be bad too.
I disagree. Japan is a red boarder with a white internal. Mongolia is like, brown and red. At least it's not like spawning the Mayans near the Persians in cIV.
