The Islamic Confederation would find this agreeable, provided that the supervision of the elections is held jointly by the Islamic Confederation and the European Union and that the United States remove all troops from Timor as quickly as possibly.

Indonesia, for its part, wishes to keep West Timor unconditionally, and furthermore wishes to annex East Timor to prevent another incident like this one from occuring. Its stance on the United Nations is less harsh than the Islamic Confederation's, however... provided that the UN recognizes this incident as an imperialistic act of American aggression and acts accordingly, which amounts to no difference at all.
Indonesia asks for the Islamic Confederation's support in this position, and furthermore asks that the European Union and the People's Republic of China also recognize that America has brought this situation about in a clear attempt to cripple a nation that has done them no harm, and thus must take responsibility for what has happened.

OOC: Also, regarding the possibility of nuclear weapons turning Earth into a heap of radioactive slag, keep in mind that for the past century, anti-ballistic missile systems have been one of the major focuses of military research and development. Nuclear weapons will still be a factor, of course, and their deployment would be catastrophic, but they alone wouldn't decide a hypothetical war at this point.

The Islamic Confederation has little choice but to give free rein to Indonesia in this matter. The Confederation's mandate restricts it from interfering in the internal affairs of any of its member states, and this clearly falls under the internal affairs of Indonesia; the mandate of the United Nations does not include interfering with the internal affairs of any nation, so we demand that the UN not take a hand in Timor unless asked to by Indonesia and the Islamic Confederation.
As for the United States of America, the Islamic Confederation is capable and willing to make a stance as to their presence in Timor. We will not allow it; this rebellion was, as Indonesia points out, incited by the United States and its allies, just as the rebellion of East Timor was. As such, we must ask that the United States withdraw its forces from Timor immediately and revoke any military support they are sending to the rebels in Timor.
The Islamic Confederation shall now reveal the hypocrisy of the United States of America's stance on Indonesia. If you recall, several years ago the United States of America issued a ban on trade with Indonesia. It cited concern for the oppressed and poorly treated Indonesian people as its reason for this ban. The Islamic Confederation believes, as we are sure many others do, that banning trade between Indonesia and the United States of America does nothing to help the people of Indonesia.
It is well known that the stance of the United Nations is one of offering help when a humanitarian situation is obviously not the fault of the government, as this one was; as such, the ban the United States of America placed on Indonesia was in blatant disregard to resolutions passed by the United Nations and several sections within your mandate, including your primary purpose: preventing war.
As such, if the United Nations still has any control over its members actions on an international scale, as was its original purpose, we ask you to bring forth a resolution removing the United States of America from your Security Council, as well as placing economic sanctions upon it until it removes its troops from Timor. Only then will we allow the United Nations to regain its influence over the affairs of the members of the Islamic Confederation and to have a hand, if their is to be one, in the future of Timor.
