Pre-CNES: Flowers on the Working Title

Actually it was EST but you can take until 3 AM if you want. Not like I'll be awake and alert and on the prowl. ;)

Well, the history is *done*, but not polished or edited by any means. While I was writing it, I did up the entire world map with names. I'm posting the labeled province and sea zone map to satisfy people that need to start doing nation submissions NOW, though I recommend they contact me first.

I am still configuring some sea zones, so there are 3 or 4 without names.

If a province name looks out of place culturally speaking, that's because it's probably a colony.

Font is Courier, I thought it looked kinda spritey. Also, the image file is so big that imgur automatically changes the .png to .jpg, apparently? I'm a mess.

Spoiler Forgive me Crezth for I have sinned :

Nation submissions are still not happening (I intend them to be a very organized thing). You can have the rest of today to work on polishing/editing the history; just post it whenever you can (we'll push the launch back to Saturday evening). I'll put up the templates for nations once you've finished posting the history.

A lot of time on the map was spent in trying to organize groups of territories that would make sense as a nation. I think I'm going to do a basic 'what does this region's culture look like?' map. Aloooong with the other truckload of stuff I'm going to post.

Uh, does anyone know how I can fix my image compression problem?

Where's my Occitania? :(

lurker's comment: "Arabo-" is not a thing. It just isn't. "Sino-Arabic" and "Japanese-Arabic" would be more correct. Also, "Liaosha" and "Jeiyan" are not Japanese. Like, at all.

Visit our IRC channel for a more florid and profane excursus on why this is the case.

Also, you're aware that Arabs are Semites, right?

Speaking in the general sense about Semites produces a different aesthetic than speaking about Arabs in the specific. Sort of like how saying Russo-French is different from saying Russo-Latin.

Also, you're sort of missing the point of that map, which is just to give people an idea of what cultural aesthetics occupy which places. The cultures themselves are coherent identities, these labels just give you a basic idea of what they superficially resemble.

Some hosting sites convert to .jpg, some give you the option (maybe you have a checkbox marked). You can solve this by opening a free account with Imageshack, which I have had no problems with thus far.

Yeah, totally thinking of that Semitic Empire aesthetic now.

Well, when that's all you have to go on...

You need to decide if I'm giving you too many details or too few. :p Right now, you just look like someone who's more interested in trolling than legitimately improving the game. But we all know that's not in your character. :3

Thanks for giving me the extra day, Crezth. The rest will be up soon. I'll correct the culture map too, "Sino-Arabic" and slightly better appellations for "Italo-Semitic" included.

Thanks Star, I'll try that.
