Pre-EkoNES: Fall From Heaven

i so want to start choosing our start locations... please do regions fast

Of course you did the main part though, and something that I could never have done myself to such a high standard.

In case any of you are wondering, you can't choose a starting location or anything yet. I will be adding regions to the map first.

how about zooming-out with the browser (like ctrg+mousewheel with firefox)?
Yes, this would work, although it's a pain to get the text back to something readable afterwards. Better to have a map that can be viewed without having to do any kind of zooming imo.

Sweet, I love the map. :goodjob:

Although for some reason it looks upside down to me ... but I have weird quirks when it comes to maps.

With a zoom of 85% I can see the full map with no scrolling and can still easilly read the text taht is posted. I may try to resize it anyway.

Ekolite: I am in as stand in player

An I thought that one of the point of this NES was that we don't know the map....

Yeah, I decided that that wouldn't really work. There will still be wildlands though, and areas off-limits for your start positions that can be explored during the game. I hope that doesn't upset anyone too much.

To me, this is maybe a little more lore-appropriate anyway. I'm sure most of the major nations still have an ancient map or two lying around that gives them the layout of Erebus; what they wouldn't know would be what had happened to those lands over the Age of Ice. Peoples would have moved, animals migrated, climates altered... but the general landmasses would have stayed virtually unchanged.

Also, I needed Immac to do the map terrain, and it would be unfair if he knew what the map looked like and everyone else didn't.

Roll call thread. Please go an post, vote in the poll etc so we know who is active currently in NESing

One thing that annoys me about Immaculate's NES is the sheer amount of information he has on the first page. It's annoying having to scroll through endless things looking for a specific building or bullet point, even with the spoiler tags.

Would anyone be oppsoed to me including building, unit and improvement stats in the Email spreadsheet? This would allow me to keep my first few posts for the really important information only. It would be easier for me, as it would become a simple matter of copy-paste to add a building or whatever, and would also allow for potentially better and easier planning, as players could copy-paste the stats for improvements into the right places to experiment with various scenarios, letting the spreadsheet do the maths.

I actually do that already in Immac's NES, I just move the info over to each new stats sheet.

Having the data in the spreadsheet looks good. Particularly if you can organise them in some tabs/sheets. I'm not sure it'll be less work for you to keep up to date, though (copy - paste is evil).
