I will likely wait until Friday to post the start, which gives us all time to figure who is on hte menu, I mean in the game!

Being of both Spanish and Portugese decent myself I could not resist!.

I very well remember the poor exploring aspect of that RPC! Still, lack of adequate settling to prevent Pericles violation of proper Japanese territory is really what did us in then!

Looks like the slate is full! I switched the unknown Sis to Julius as he is sort of a Caesarian type player in this game anyway (I think he said he was one of his favorite three leaders).

The only thing I need is a backup for Julius if Sis either does not answer me or opts out.

Also, to play off a currently popular thread, I plan to exclusively use the combat promotion line, even for city defending archery units! Machine guns are the exception which shall go down the drill line.

MGs dont get drill. in order for them to get that promo you have to upgrade grenadiers, which would go against the whole exclusively using combat promotions.

and what about siege. they cannot get combat. do we just ignore the restriction for them, or restrict them to some other promo line?

I thought Drill was the only promo MGs can get at the beginning???

You are right about seige, so I will restrict the combat line to all possible units only. Others I can decide then.
