And thats about it for this turn really, except we got sailing.

Now are we going to get a worker tech before IW- i think we should grab agriculture-we will have enough time and it will even up the beaker score when we trade.

Do you really think we need a farm on any of those three tiles? I'd rather get Hunting. But yes, lets put off IW for a little bit while we research something else.

Also, I guess the galley build was out voted?

well it was either that or pots in my mind, hunting is fairly useless right now unless we get AH straight after. Thought we should go agriculture as its cheaper than pots.

I went for agriculture as it means we can get a bit of quick growth to work them mines and we can always switch the tiles to cottages when we get pots.

How long will it take to reasearch agriculture, and how long would IW take currently?

Agri=60 beakers
IW=200 beakers
were getting 12gpt a turn i think, so 5 turns for agri and 18ish turns for IW. (i think)

Thats ok, with some cottages the gold will go up

the gpt values will probably go down though when we switch to working the copper, maybe the mined pigs as well.

get agricluture...growth is the key. Since this is a saltwater filled map...growth will be reduced so anything to push growth will in the end turn out to be stronger. We need to push for growth in order to work more tiles. We can use the lighthouse to get high population cities with commerce. In other words...dont lean towards cottages, push food to work the sea for our commerce. There are very few rivers and whats there is small..sea techs and wonders will win this game.

Farm the all tiles with 2 food, cottage those with 1 food.

agriculture sounds good, what about building a lighthouse sometime soon to get better growth.

it would speed up settler building a bit though, but I agree, it isn't necessary at the moment because we've got enough good tiles to work already.

couldnt find a place to put this so posting daves message here

Hello teams,

There is a bug in warlords which corrupts a PBEM if it is loaded directly from
another PBEM without exiting to main menu or restarting the game first. We
don't know yet if this bug also exists in Civ4, but for now the best way to
ensure we don't have a problem is to ask you to start playing ISDG
saves from the
menu and not from within other games.

From the temporary (possibly permanent) UN thread on exploits:

To prevent corrupting the ISDG game with information from other PBEMs, you must
exit to main menu, or preferably exit the game completely and restart,
before loading
ISDG saves.

Yeah, it might cost an extra minute or two, but it looks like a pretty
dangerous bug.
If loading a save isn't clearing out the stuff which lets you change
civics, it's hard
telling what else isn't being set correctly.

Fairly self explanatory and i generally do play my isdg saves first anyways :)

hmmm doesnt happen in vanilla that I can tell. I serial play my PBEMS and leave civ running all day.
