The following is a limited preview of a game I intend to run. Included are the majority of sections required for comprehension of the material. The only sections not included are Protocol on orders, stories, and questions, and Instructions on what is to be achieved, as these are unnecessary for the purposes of this preview. The exclusion of map information at this time is intentional.

It is requested that this material be read in its entirety before further action is taken. It is furthermore requested that no posting occur until clearance is given to the contrary.

I am certainly interested, and would like to try that whole "commanding a society" thing, though I'm not sure how orders would work for that.

Normal screen resolution is 1024x768, but I can increase it up to 1280x1024 if necessary.

I am interested, lots of it at that. This sounds awesome.

My screen resolution changes between 1024x768 (on the computer I am on now which I use very little, mostly at weekends) and another one (which I forgot... on my own most used computer). Consider the second one my usual resolution. It's something higher then the above, I'm just not sure, I'll tell you as soon as I'm back at my own computer.

I just have two questions. In the first turn we play societies rather then states in other words areas on the map, several states at once and making an area history?

for example, a society with an Individualist / Collectivist rating of 2 would best be described as “somewhat individualist.”
Wouldn't 2 be somewhat collectivist since Individualist is more to the left so it's closer to 0?

Very interested in this, as this feels right for some reason. while I wouldn't mind starting the first turn, I would preffer to start around turn 3.
screen resolution is 1280 x 960

I am interested, probably against my better judgement. I am already considering dropping a lot of stuff, but this seems to draw my attention. Why? I don't know. I'll start first turn if I can, later if you have enough players for the first turns.

I'll post my screen resolution when I'm back on my normal computer, as I don't seem to be around it at the moment.

Sorry to disrupt the flow of signups but one quick question: Are you planning on independently placing our initial socio-cultural groups on the map without our input, or will the players be introduced to possible locations of their choice beforehand?

That segues into a more general request for an overview of the cartographic style, use of shadows for terra incognita, etc.

EDIT: Okay, I know I just didn't follow directions, and that the exclusion of map information is intentional...I'm just looking for general details, if it's not inconvenient.

Oh, 1 to 4 does sound easier to follow. 0 is usually unused...

This looks good, but I might want to lurk, a little while longer.

Oh oh I wanted to add that I love that you implement army total strength rather then numbers and technology. I've been having this idea but thought that people won't like it (it really does go back to RTOR2 age where stats were almost only words).

As I believe I mentioned in a couple of conversations, I'm interested. Especially from the first turn. Resolution of 1024x768.

So I assume section beta will have training and other stats that will talk of how strong an army or navy is?

Your aim is for a space NES right?
