OK I'm sure there's another thread or section that covers this but I haven't noticed it?

Here's a little question.

The rules are when you've got it you put up another one:

To start.

A man is offered life or death: he must chose either a white or a black grape from a black bag supposedly containing either, if he picks the black grape he dies, if the white he lives, but he knows the judge has put two black grapes in the bag to screw him over? How can he live?

Spoiler :
Grab a grape, and before anyone has a chance to see it, eat it. Then say that since the remaining grape is black, the one he picked must be white. Don't know, they might disqualify him for that.

There is a white grape in the bag, along with the two black grapes?

Yeah I like Eran's idea. :D

If the man is "offered" life or death why should he have to play their little game, can't he just choose to live?

He could try to remake the rules saying "I choose the grape I'm leaving in the bag", the judge would be too embarassed to admit he rigged the contest and be forced to concede.

What if the judge has no problem admitting he rigged the thing and killing the man? :p

There's only one appropriate response:

Heres my answer, and i beileve its correct. ;)
Spoiler :
Put your hand in the bag but pretend to grab a grape while you have nothing and say you have a white grape and take your hand out clenched in a fist.

Black and white grapes? I would assume them to have gone bad, and therefore be hazardous to my health.
You'd be wrong!

That's light green and purple, you fool, have you no sense of color coordination?
"Black Grapes" and "white grapes" are varieties of grapes, not precise descriptions of thier color.

Spoiler :
Pull out a gun, shoot the judge in the head and say "How do you like them grapes!"

Spoiler :
Argue that the black grape you have picked is not actually black, because it is not a perfect black body, by finding the intensity spectrum of the radiation emitted from the grape, and comparing the spectrum with a that of a theoretical black body of the same temperature.

So who's putting up the next riddle?
