Spoiler :
Grab a grape, and before anyone has a chance to see it, eat it. Then say that since the remaining grape is black, the one he picked must be white. Don't know, they might disqualify him for that.

Put one up then :) Aristotle tried that one on a young Alexander the Great, he took a little over a day to answer it.

In the meantime here's another one to tickle your fancy.

Bob and Alice were out wandering around enjoying the sites, when all of a sudden a volcano erupted. Some of the flow or ejected material struck them, but they didn't get burned. Why?

Spoiler one possibility :
By the time the ejecta got to them, it had cooled enough to not burn them? It could have been a mud or water eruption, not lava, after all. Maybe it was in Reykjavik, too, where the ambient air temperature would cool it down even faster.

The volcano was nowhere near them? Some random volcano somewhere?

The ejected material struck them 30 years later when some jerk threw a rock at them.

They were on Mars, and they were protected both by the cooling effect of the atmosphere and by their spacesuits.

What's wrong with this answer?

There standing next to a volcanic explosion, what are the chances that they don't get "lava" on them? OK I'll edit the question to say flow as well? Suffice to say it's wrong. Sorry I didn't clarify I edited the original question so that no one could find it in a search but I forget this contingency :)

They were on Pluto and the volcano spewed liquid Methane on them instead of lava?

Correct, you get to put a question up if you want.

So obviously there space suits protected them:) and they would of got frozen anyway assuming they could survive the -232 degree temperatures without a space suit obviously ;) The original answer was one of Jupiter's moons but who cares, the answer is correct.

can i have the next riddle if so here it is

If the guy doesn't post one then yours stands ok. and in which case it's time :)

OK I've had enough goes, anyone put up a puzzle/riddle logic problem whatever.

Ok I've got one - 300 monks live together in a monestary. They have very strict rules which are followed by all of the monks at all times. One of the rules is, that absolutely communication between monks is allowed. Another is, that mirrors are forbidden. The monks have their three meals a day together in a large hall, the rest of their day is spent with individual contemplation and chores.

One morning, a messanger comes to the monestary and adresses the monks at breakfast. He tells them, that a rare disease is spread throughout the country, and that some of the monks have the disease aswell. The main symptom of the disease is a large red spot on the head of the afflicted. The disease kills everyone who knows they have it within two hours. The disease was transmitted by a bad shipment of rice, but is not contagious.

On the morning of the eleventh day after the messenger arrives, some of the monks don't turn for breakfast and are found dead in their beds.

Question: How many monks died?

explained later.

None? None knew they had it . . .

Some of them must have died, and since they can all talk, then all who ate the rice would tell the other, assuming they didn't tell each other it would be none.

Er no actually I misread the question if they could tell each other it would be all of them sort of, if they told each other.

Because they all ate the contaminated rice, since they all eat 3 meals per day.

After the first day 300/2*2 hours would be left and so on untill only 1 remained then 1 would survive only given that they have 3 meals per day, and they all ate the rice.

Or 150 if they all had it assuming they told each other on the last meal of the 10th day and didn't have it until then or 300 if they all told each other.

If there were only one monks, and only one person had it, when would that person die?

If there were only two monks, and only one person had it, when would that person die?

If there were only two monks, and only two persons had it, when would those persons die?

If there were only three monks, and only one person had it, when would that person die?

If there were only three monks, and only two persons had it, when would those persons die?

If there were only three monks, and only three persons had it, when would those persons die?

If there were only four monks, and only one person had it, when would that person die?

Repeat and rinse.
Rinse and repeat.
