Questions about Brave New World that don't deserve their own thread.

According to the information we have, it does seem like the Parthenon's slot does come with a prefilled work of art, though I'm not sure we know if it's unique.

It is apparently a mosaic unique to the Parthenon.

Do ideology tenets cost less culture than social policies? If there are 15 or so tenets, wouldn't it take forever to build up your ideology, unless it meant sacrificing your social policy advancement?

You don't need 15 tenets. The big ones are the tier-3 tenets, and they are all designed for one specific victory condition (for example, Freedom has one that allows you to buy Spaceship parts with gold). So it's no use really to pick more than one tier-3 tenet, and they're quite strong anyway, so you'll probably win before you had acquired enough culture to pick a second one.

On a somewhat related sidenote, I saw the Parthenon wonder has a slot for a great work of art. It would be awesome if it came with a free unique great work of art already slotted upon completion, such as Phidias' Parthenon frieze/Elgin marbles.(Which could perhaps ironically be looted or traded for historical accuracy).

From the Rev3Games preview video:

The Parthenon does indeed seem to come with Phidias' Frieze.

Very nice, thanks for relaying the Parthenon frieze info. Little details like this really get me psyched for the expansion! :D The splash art looks beautiful as well.

Is it confirmed that the Scout will have an upgrade in BNW?
Unfortunately, based on what we know of the new tech tree, there are not any new regular units that we don't already know about. So no Scout upgrade.

Does the East India Company really unlock with Guilds? and if so, is anyone else annoyed that it unlocks in the early Medieval era?
Yes, that is certain. Hardcore international trade kind of starts with Marco Polo, so the timing doesn't seem so wrong.

Remember how Ed and Dennis talked about the process of choosing Pueblo as a civ, what their mechanics would be, then how they couldn't include them any longer?

I don't. Do you have any link?

That's true, but I'm a bit annoyed they pushed a Late Renaissance phenomenon all the way back to the Early Medieval age.

I cant find the shortened video but here is something Pueblo starting at the 5:56:00 mark running through the 5:58:50 mark, almost at the end

why the mining tech tree line is not shown???
Edit: opss, it didn't load correctly :)

Edit: im a little disappointed on the Tech tree. Unlike GnK, this new Expansion didn't add more units in the game.

XCOM Squad?

What's that thing at masonry in the new tech tree?

btw, I really like how they're filling up most of the slots for many techs. Really adding a lot. :)

Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus? I take it you don't have the Wonders of the World DLC pack?

No, I don't

Another question; will they be including this DLC into the xpac, like Spain with Gods and Kings? Because it sure sounds like it, the way they're wording it.

We know they're including some (and probably all) of the wonders DLC. So if you wait and that, you won't get the scenario but should get everything else.

We know that you're getting the G&K features so you won't miss out on that.

We don't know if you're getting some or all of the DLC and G&K Civs.

"Inclusions form God and Kings

-Brave New World will include many of Gods and Kings' underlying systems for players who didn't buy the first expansion - Shack News
-From Screenshots we can assume this means Espionage, Religion and 100hps for units "

(from the What we know thread)

No word on DLC's inclusion, besides a few members figuring out the Wonders DLC is currently in the BnW tech tree.

XCOM Squad?
yeah, XCOM squad is really cool and i cant wait to use that! but only 1??? gods and king add a lot more, great war units, marine, composite bowman etc. better if they add at least 10 new Units :(
