Questions & Answers

IIRC you can't download old versions of RFC. But anyway, why do you want an old version of this game?

Reading comprehension is fun!

lol, it would seem that I misread that part :D
Anyway, it won't work because the latest version of RFC is not save game compatible with any older versions. Thats why it keeps crashing for you. I'm sorry, but I don't believe you can retract that old savegame.

My best suggestion for you at this point, would be to PM Rhye, and ask him if he has a personal copy of the version you want.

Good Luck! :goodjob:

Ouch, not having access to older versions of the mod will make it harder to port mod-mods written for older versions to the current one! (Unless the changes are heavily commented, of course.)

Thank you all for quick answer.
I'll follow the advice and see what will happen :]
Regards

While I have a copy of 1.186, the zip file is too large to attach here (42MB). Send me a PM if you can suggest a way that I can send you the file.

Here you go. I've attached the zip file of v1.186. I will take this down though after a week or so, as I've not got much space left to add attachments around here.
No you haven't. :mischief: Or I just lost a week of my life. :p

Thank you blizzrd. I'll send you PM in 5 days, because I'm new user and I have to wait 5 days to activate PM :]. Or you could just send me an e-mail with this file (you'll find my address in my profile location).
Thanks again and regards

on the top left corner of the screen there should be a button that shows an axe, thats the mercenary button. ( its right under where it shows your gold.)

That button is temperamental and sometimes causes the game to crash. I recommend Ctrl-M to access the Hire Mercenary screen.

Apologize if this has been covered already, but 140 pages of posts would be a lot to read through.

I have Civ4 Complete from Steam which included RFC, but I've heard the version that is packaged with Civ4 Complete is an incomplete version or something. Is that true? If so, is there a patch I can download to get up to date?

You are not suposed to read through Questions & Answers type threads. It is good to try the search thread button first, but generally just wade in.

That version is complete, but is not the latest version that people generally reakon is more fun. You can get the latest version here.

Making massive statements about a nations of people without considering that the majority of those people are not represented by the elitist government that they are under and just because those that have money can give the rest of us somewhat of a bad name the USA has as a matter of fact done plenty for other peoples nations including yours so keep your bigotted statements to yourself or we will get the rest of the Civ Fanatics involved in this little pat got it!

We nuked Japan. I think that eclipses anything we've done to help them.

Another n00b question: I'm playing as England and one of the UHV is to have three cities on each continent. China is like the Asian superpower and has left no good land in main land China, India, and Khmer/Vietnam. However, surprisingly they left Indonesia and the Philippines open. Are the Philippines/ Indonesia part of Asia or Oceania?

I also have the option of settling the barren Siberian wastelands....

In the start of the game with all the civs , why don't I have America ? And why does the American civ starts in 1728 and not in 1776 ?
