Got a stupid question here
I started playing Civ a week ago, and hopefully I will get my first noble win with my current game. I'm playing vanilla Civ. Victoria on standard map size, continents and normal speed. The year is 1120AD. I started on one continent together with Napoleon (pleased towards me, only negative is border tension) and Frederick (hates me, as I have gone to war against him two times). I have founded taoism, but not converted. Napoleon on the other hand have. As me, Frederick got no state religion.
Well, I have also just found another continent with Washington(confucianism), Tokugawa (judaism) and Peter(buddhism). They are all annoyed by each other.
Score:
Me 1183
Tokugawa 823
Washington 823
Napoleon and Peter got around 750-770
Frederick 215
So there is one nation I haven't met. I don't know if he is on the same continent at Tokugawa&Co or got his own island somewhere.
But what next? Washington offers me dye for fish, what should I answer? Deal, negotiate or No? I'd really would prefer not to deal with anyone before I have explored the continent (and met the last civ), but since Washington approched me I have to answer and if I tell him No, he will get angry, wouldn't he?
And what should my general strategy be? Any golden rules when approaching new continents/civs this late in the game?
