Quick! Make out on Moscow's metro while you can!

I'd like to see them try to pass a similar law in France...

The whole country would go on strike!

.....not that anyone would notice a difference, of course :mischief: :p

Anybody (female!) feel like a trip to Russia for some civil disobedience? :love2:

:D

There's a reason civil disobedience isn't quite as popular in Russia. I hope you enjoy mining camps in Siberia ;)

Oh, no.
There would be only two consequences :

- The guy who made the law would be considered a ultimate imbecile and would see his carreer over.
- People would simply totally and utterly ignore the law, and the police would not give a sh*t about it :)

People have this habit to ignore law they consider stupid or obsolete :)
(after all, woman are STILL forbidden to wear trousers by law ^^)

what's funny is that the fundamentalists banning this are the kind of people who are so stupid that they think sex should be illegal, but if that was banned, our ENTIRE SPECIES would go EXTINCT.

well in Los Angeles lap dances are illegal because of ultra-right-wing groups.

well in Los Angeles smoking is illegal because of ultra-right-wing groups.

Why not kissing in public? I don't care to see it. I also don't want to see breast feeding. I don't want to hear people on cell phones. I don't want to see ugly people for that matter. And fat people? Please.

Ya crazy stuff happens. In my minds it is two consenting adults, so who cares?

But Russia is not the only crazy country. Look at the US. It is still illegal in some states for two consenting adults of the same sex to have sex.

And to think, it only took 20 posts to turn to America bashing. ;)

I am not American bashing. I am bashing a law I find to be disgusting.

I am an American.

..... We're not allowed to kiss in public? DAMN!!!

But that's besides the point. The point is that you have no right to take away people's basic rights, of which among them are the freedoms of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Now why would we want to do that? You know that our individual votes don't make a difference! :p

I personally have no faith in the system.

I am unsure if you are being sarcastic or agreeing with me. Meh, makes little difference I guess.

Sarcasm with agreement....but I don't know if any voting would make a difference with Moscow.

Those laws were thrown out by the Supreme Court recently.

It is much better for the kids to watch cowboy and war movie on TV, then 2 adult kissing.

When you want soldier to kill poeple in Chechenya, you dont want them to love, you want them to hate and obey order.

1984 the movie, poeple had no right to do sex anymore.
