Redneck Dad Arrested After Encouraging Son To "Punch His Eyes Out"

Around here, we call rednecks rednecks.

Redneck Stomp (Jeff Foxworthy)

And he is clearly not "poor". Did you watch the video? That is a very nice subdivision.

Formy... my post is so lonely up there. It just wants your loving attention.

Maybe it is the alledged "fact" that the person owns a Bible, but not a degree???

I'm mostly sad that the guy has already spawned. Of course, from the sound of it, I'm sure his son will be quite the winner also.

So its similar to the n-word? Im asking if you would use a similar racial phrase if they guy were mexican or whatever. I'm not saying your usage of the word is wrong, though.

Thats a redneck?

Good thing I never claimed anything of the sort. I don't even know what specific crime which he has been charged. Do you?

I'm merely commenting on his redneck behavior which is clearly evidenced by the video. Once again, do you dispute that isn't him provoking this absurd display of male testosterone poisoning?

Once again, you are apparently deliberately misrepresenting what I have stated. I was quite surprised that the judge decided he should not even come into contact with his own family member. Aren't you?

Are you claiming with apparently no evidence whatsoever this is the case here? Or are you merely speculating while apparently trying to rationalize this completely absurd behavior on the part of the father?

And once again, you are deciding to engage in absurd personal attacks instead of even trying to discuss the actual issues...

1. And I'm merely commenting on your behavior. Let's for a moment, pretend that this was a black guy with his black son. If a judge ordered that an African American were to no longer see his son without any formal charge, what would your reaction be? Would you have a thread with a derogatory word for African Americans and discuss what we thought about it? Or would it be an assertive dissertation on the injustice of America and the latent racism that lies within it? Now, I'm not attacking you, I'm just curious. I'm posing a hypothetical that you can feel free to answer or not. I'm merely expressing interest and fixation in your interest of all things similar to this.

Moderator Action: A bit of a misunderstading here it seems Jim. The way this place is works is, you're supposed to discuss the topic of the thread, not the other posters. Now clearly, you stating that you are commenting on Formaldehyde's behaviour indicates that you are indeed discussing him, and he is not the topic of this thread.
Please refrain from doing so.

2. I didn't misrepresent anything you said. I responded to your initial questions, which you then misrepresented. Take it easy brother! Chillax for a moment. Slow down for a while and get some sweet tea!

3. I'm not speculating anything. Just saying that I don't know the circumstances around this case and feel that I'm in no position to judge the righteousness of the judges decision. Once we know all the facts surrounding this incident we can then begin to formally rationalize it and perform root cause analysis etc.

4. I'm not attacking you brother! I think you need to come to (up, down, over) to suburban Columbus and BBQ with JimmyBuckeye! I may, may be pokin' a little fun. But I certainly don't mean you any harm and don't want to offend anybody! Again, I'm an easy going, country raised, sweet tea drinking, Jesusland Lover, not a hater!

In cases such as this, the apple usually doesn't fall too far from the tree.

Rubrecht — who was not the neighbor who reported the incident to authorities — said he's lived in the neighborhood for 18 years and it's normally peaceful.

But he said Struthers' son often drives through his yard even after he asked Struthers to stop him.

"You can tell there's no control over the kid," Rubrecht said.

I say congratulate the father for sticking up for his kid.

My parents taught me the same thing. Don't ignore the school bully--punch his teeth out. Their tutelage worked; one fight, and the punk never bothered me again.

Um, normally when people disagree they say why they disagree instead of just saying 'you're wrong'.

If redneck isn't derogatory, can I drop the n-bomb? They mean similar things, just for a different demographic. I mean, unless you are a (insert any derogative word here), then you won't be offended by it, and it makes things all better.

You don't have to answer this, because I just constructed something similar to a begged, loaded question to make my point.

I am sure there are far much more white people having no problem being called a redneck than a lot of black people having a problem being called the n-word.

Redneck is only derogatory to the ignorant northern idiots who think they know what it means. Redneck is just a word for a hard working person. "White trash" is the phrase that should be used.

Odd, considering I hear black people call themselves it all the time.

But that's beyond the point, really. There's a big difference between calling someone a redneck in person, and calling someone you have never met a redneck on the internet. Just like how people make derogatory phrases in video games and such; you have no idea who the person is in real life, so why are you bothering to try and insult them?

Yeah, but that is only in some cases when they only do it to each other. Not where there is white people calling them that.

Well I think when someone does it during a multiplayer game, that person that is throwing out the racial slur, is really a person who feel safe to do so than out in public. In most cases, I am sure it is just someone throwing out random insults hoping to get some kind of an attention, whether it is a positive one or not.

If you watched the video, I think there is little or no doubt this idiot is indeed a redneck. This is a great example of incredibly bad parenting, as well as a culture which all-too-frequently promotes violence to solve minor problems. Fortunately, this idiot actually allowed himself to be videotaped this time, so I doubt there is little chance of him apparently escaping justice twice.

Because redneck doesn't mean 'white person' as the n-word means 'black person', redneck generally means ignorant person, usually at least a little obese, perhaps alcoholic, and usually with bad morals. You can't call all white people rednecks, because the term redneck doesn't apply to all of them, unlike the n-word which could be used to describe any black person.
