Quick Questions and Answers

How do you change your name for multiplayer? When I join a game my friends all have their Steam name as their in game name, mine is simply blank

Does the Aristocracy policy help with national wonders, or just global wonders?

Quick question.

I'm not new to Civ., but I am new to forums and map making. I've been making a map for Civ. 5 and for some reason instead of starting in one of the random start locations that I placed during the making process the game always starts me in the same location. It doesn't matter what culture I am. I've tried changing the "team" setting too. Can this be changed, or is this just how it is?

1. Can I rename my puppet cities?

2. Can puppet cities construct wonders?

3. When a City State asks me to connect roads with it, are the roads within the city state's border counted into my maintenance cost? And do I get financial benefit from the trade route with the city state?

thanks

It says I can choose to wait to select a social policy by right clicking the announcement, then come back and make the change on a later turn.

It doesn't work, is there a way to force next turn, and will the policy still be available later?

Thanks.

"It"? Sounds like were talking about one of those fabulous printed game guides that are obsolete by before they are actually printed.

They changed how this works. With default rules you can not delay selecting a social policy. You can however use an advanced setting to enable policy saving for future games (needs to be done every time before you start a new map).

Thanks man. That kinda sucks, I know it can be used as an exploit, but I was just a few turns away from entering a new era and getting a policy I could actually use.

The "it" I read was the in game help, I don't expect them to print new pages and mail them out, but how about a two minute update to the in game help?

Edited to add: Are there other things in the in game help that are incorrect? Should I ignore that completely and just exit the game, come here and ask to get accurate information?

does anyone know of a post-GnK list of AI civ benefits/hindrances gotten for each difficulty?

ive seen the differences players get like happiness modifiers but im curious what AI civs get at each diff, including negatives at lower diff levels.

Quick question. Where are the Civ 5 scenarios located on the computer? I wanted to copy a map and players from a scenario without the time constraints on said scenario. Is there a way to do this and where are the scenario maps located on the computer? I've don't have any folder named Scenario in the obvious C:\Users\XXXX\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

When an AI declares war you get 2 choices: 1) You will pay for this 2) Very well.
Q: What difference does it make what answer you give?

Hi all,

New here. Great forum.

Quick question: if you have a unit next to someone's border, can that player extend his border to the square were your unit is on? as in, will the player naturally extend his border there? i assume you can buy that square, but your city won't naturally acquire it?

Thanks!
