Found another bug! Odyssey gamespeed changes the turn amount but plays like normal. Also try "tolerance" for an early game watered down version of free religion (You still have a state religon but other ones don't give as many revolution penalties.)
 
Tolerance I like actually. What I'm thinking of doing is replacing Fundamentalism with that, and Animism(not very interesting) with "God King", which represents how the Ancient Egyptians, Khmer and Mesoamericans and some other peoples stance on religion.
 
I'm really curious to see what you did with this mod. I played QC & Extra a lot over the years. I tried to combine the two years back but I never really god a grasp on the WoC modding.

I ended up creating my own personal mod that started with Extra, updated it with the last version of Culture Citystyles, updated it with the last version of VD. Then added the extra civs from Diversica (another great mod) with their unique unit styles. Added in a bunch of civs from Civ Gold. Tossed in a hand full of extra units & buildings from Realism Invictus. Extra resources, wonders, leaders.

It ended up being a pretty good basic BTS mod with 100 civs, about 50 of them with their own unit art styles. The only two things that were missing were BUG and DCM. I just couldn't make it work without the game crashing.

But it's now just a memory since my hard drive crashed. I might start from scratch since I always wanted to release it.

So I'm really looking forward to playing a game with your mod since it combines two of my favorites and seems to be on a similar path.
 
Yeah that sounds very similiar to what I've done actually. I thought what Chiyu did with Extra really spiced up the early-mid game, which was something I enjoyed alot. Avain did a great job with the late game, so I really didn't mess with that. What you said sounds really awesome too RPG, I'd definitely play your mod if you put it out.

Just a heads up. The DCM component works fine with my mod but Revolutions(Barb Civ, Tech Difusion, Revolutions) does not for some reason. You can play the game with those options on, but you will crash around the renaiissance/early industrial. I'd figure this out but I lack the skill in XML(I've only been doing XML since June). Also Rev has an upper limit of 50 civs, and that number is exceeded in the mod. I believe the Revolution mod has a problem with modular-based civilizations, as the Rise of Mankind mod's megaciv pack had the same problem(added lots of Modular civilizations).

Just to name a few. I have redone the techtree(alittle) as well.
 
It was pretty awesome, I'm sure I'll start to mod again as soon as I replace all the mods I had.

I always turned off Revolutions, never liked it much. DCM was always the part of RevDCM in QC that I liked best.

Did you add any more resources or terrain features?

When do you expect to release version 2? I tried downloading your mod but MS blocked it. Would you be willing to zip up the mod an email it to me?

Oh, and it's nice to see a brand new civ after all these years!

Yeah I get the same from Microsoft when I try to download the mod, you can actually bypass that by right clicking "download anyway". New version..probably very soon. Testing so far is going very well and I think Ive squashed the bugs(except for what I can't fix aka the revolutions errors).

Wow SOG, lol, just wow!. Excellent mod so far from my brief play test. I really enjoy the level of detail and polish you've put into this. Obviously a heart felt labor of love for you Kudos.

And on a side note, I'm honored that you included the info I gave you for the Anasazi, my sincere thanks.

Hey SOG, just a few observations.

1) LR and CR checked, and I'm still getting multiple religions

2) Time scale seems a touch off. I'm on epic speed ( only 800 turns?), turn 132, and I'm already solidly in the middle ages. Build times seem ok, but research times seem a bit fast. I am playing a PHI civ, so that may have something to do with it.

3) RB checked on legendary speed. I got hit and ghosted on turn 6 by a wave of 4 barbs.. OW! not sure if you intended barbs to show that fast or not.

4) Just to check, I did play tests on speeds fm quick to epic. They appear to be equivalent to one speed under. I.E. quick speed appears to be blazing, norm to quick, etc.

Like I said, just observations, not a critique. I'll keep testing and let you know if other things seem a tad weird :)

Good mod btw, I like it.

Hey Drak I'm glad you like it. I'm not sure on the speeds, they are actually unaltered from whatever Avain set them as. I have my games set to Marathon, seems to be the most balanced in terms of speed.

I'd like to. But, Revolutions has a limit of 50 and I have tested things with less than fifty civilizations, and I've found that now the only way to play a full game is with the Revolutions mod components off, with or without more than fifty civs.

And this is from someone who loves the Revolutions mod. Dynamic Civ names, barb civ, its all really great.
 
Hmnn, well. If you could possibly look into the LR/CR issue, that would be great.

Any thoughts to a potential TSL Earth map? Especially considering you have some interesting Native civs. Would be nice to give the USA a run for it's money :devil:.

I'm really liking Adam Smith. It's about time the Yanks got a PHI/FIN leader, kudos.

Haven't had time for a full game yet, will keep you posted.
