not sure of the exact rules ATM, I may release a beta version with free movement for Regiment units.

If I go for a fixed link system, you'll be able to link only mobile artillery or mobile AA-guns with tanks.
 
Artillery needs to be doubled in strength or have its bonuses doubled and penalties halved! It costs too much and can't do anything useful.
 
I'll remove the armor penalty and they won't need to set up before firing.

There'll be 3 types of artillery that can stack with other units:
- Howitzer-Guns: no penalty, indirect fire (above obstacle), bonus vs Cities, Infantries & Fortified units
- Field Guns: direct fire (can't pass obstacle), more powerful, high bonus vs tanks.
- Anti-Aircraft Guns: protect the unit they stack with from air attacks, can intercept, small bonus vs tank

quick update of the current development to the DLL:

- balance : embarked units are now considered as Sea units, that means that aircraft with bonus against land or/and armor units won't get those bonus when attacking an embarked tank. Before that a Stuka with some promotions could sink a British tank in one attack...

So with that change, would it be possible to remove the bonus against ground units for submarines, because it will be useless.

current models are "generic".

there will be various models for mobile versions.

Wow! This is awesome! So, they don't do ranged attacks? This is like CivIII!

I have the propaganda posters, the newspaper won't be difficult to find I think, but yes, it would require a complete reskin of the UI to nicely wrap all that and I'm not an artist.

Sorry if this is a silly question (please keep in mind I don't get much time to play mods given my development work) but what are the little yellow icons above the unit flags in the screenshot in post 467?
 
that's a mod to show the promotions above the flag. should be in the component section, but is outdated and my conversion of it is sometime buggy (promotions shown for new units that had none). Thals have a working version, but it's so integrated into the rest of tlCiVUP mod that I thought it would be less time consumming to start from the original.

but now I must find some to fix the bug :D
 
I am interested in doing something slightly similar for limited promotions (leadership/morale) but right now I don't have the time.

Maybe we can compare ideas down the track when we have some free time!

Hey Gedemon, I downloaded GIMP to try to make some more units for Finland and Greece, but when I tried to open the Panzer IVG file, GIMP couldn't open it. Any recomendations on what I could do, or a program that can modify the files?
