Currently been together with my g/f for 5 years, since we were 16... Now we've been living together for 2 years, and it's all going perfectly well. Started off as a long-distance relationship, and to be honest I just couldn't really be bothered to look for someone as interesting closer by so we stayed together and there you go, now we argue over who's going to do the dishes and who should be getting up to make coffee in the morning...

Been in America for the last 8 weeks and seeing a girl for the last 3. Putting 5000 miles and a bit of water between us tomorrow so this thread has just bummed me out. Going to go listen to radiohead.

Does long distance count?
No.

If you die while on the phone or an internet messege board you're still alone.
I see her every month, and the long distance is a temporary situation. When I go to college, I'll be within feasible dating range (out of fantastic coincidence, not because I'm changing my college plans for her). I feel quite attached, and neither of us see other people or anything. It's a pretty committed relationship. . . but I can't really say I'm seeing anyone, as I can't actually see her most of the time.

Put something in her drink so she will sleep and only wake up next to you in the plane. If she complains, just make her sleep again, only this time to wake up in a comfortable cage in your basement.

As if i can afford another plane ticket, not even paying for this one. I have considered putting her in my suitcase though.

Right now I am going on a double date this Friday. Im just nervous on how it would go.

Well my girlfreind is moving away and we wont be able to see eachother any more. so it is one more thing to add to my Teenage Angst

A small cafe near buy the college camput

She is not my girlfriend, I have not even gone on a date with her. Anyway, I am friends with the other couple and my friend's girlfriend knows the girl that I am dating.

if you screw it up on this date your friends girlfriend, if she has the right connections, and you screw up bad enough, you will be the laughing stock of the school. then again its really hard to screw something up horribly in a small cafe.

WTH? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard...

CivGeneral, you'll be fine. Honestly, you sound like a really nice person, so if I can think so over an anonymous internet forum about a turnbased strategy game then there's no reason why she won't either.

dude i dont even know WTH civ is all i know is that its a rts that i will probably never play so this is just something i do if none of my friends are on the internet or in the middle of the night. and you missed my last sentence. its hard to screw something up in a small cafe so pretty much he will be perfectly fine.

Huh? I never said you knew something about civ. Also, whats dumb about it is this BS about the girl "having the right connections" and being the laughing stock of the whole school. liek, omgwtf?

I've been single for over twenty-five years now; never so much as a one-night-stand, or even a proper date for that matter. And somehow I don't seem to mind, though it would be kind of nice having a girlfriend.

He's in college, not middle school.

I basically* have one right now...

*Basically meaning she really likes me but hasn't broken up with her old bf (who she doesn't really like) yet. She would right now except she can't get a hold of him because of the hurricane.

I'd say yes - it counts. If you consider your relationship exclusive and the distance is temporary due to situation then yes it's a relationship.

I'm in a similair situation - we met locally but then seperated geographicaly when she went to law school. We essentially live together during summer holidays but then live in seperate cities during the school year. We see each other usually once a month, occassionally twice. It's a relationship.
