People who use the phrase 'interesting times' should have their mouth removed and their typing fingers chopped off.

why are there random rants threads than random raves threads on this forum?it kinda sad.....

Well, one theory says that people are generally angrier. Mine is that a lot of people give advice in random rants, which takes up many more posts.

thats probably it, the second point that is.

Yeah, good times, interesting times. :mischief:

For the record, hebrew was a dead language for longer than latin has been, and hebrew came back, so nothing is impossible.

"Interesting" seems like it's always a synonym for "I want to add an adjective to this word but there's nothing special about it to deserve an adjective," which is actually pretty ironic if you think about it.

I've noticed that too. but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Anger builds up stress, and stress can lead to an earlier death and other bad things. If you rant more, then you can get that bad stress out. Raving isn't the same effect.
using that logic, you should rant more

Yeah, good times, interesting times. :mischief:
you best hope you don't cross my path

:joke:

My grandfather made my favourite meal ever for dinner tonight, but the smell of it alone makes me feel like throwing up for unknown reasons. I've had this strange desire for spaghetti and meatballs with garlic toast and peppered green beans for the longest time.

:mad:CURSE MY SLOW COMPUTER.... I KEEP CROSSPOSTING:mad:

ugh... this is a very frustrating time right now, these 10 minutes

I dunno, at least in the case of "interesting times", it seems to be sarcastic or underwhelming.

Nah, you can't just say it like that. Regard:

"Well, everyone, the market's in a crisis, politicians are as corrupt as ever and the world's heading for a nuclear standoff. Interesting times!"

Say anything like that and so help me, I'll find you and mail you to Vladimir Putin along with a helpful note that reads 'Strap this sarcastic twozack to the nosecone and fire away'.
