Details or it didn't happen.
Started out really healthy because I came up on this bag of organically grown tiny Brussels sprouts. For those who don't know, Brussels sprouts as they get bigger get more of a tang to them, so I knew these little guys would be sweeter than normal. Anyway, I trimmed off the stem end and split them in half, then lightly sauteed them in a bit of olive oil with some garlic. I did the same thing with some chopped up yellow squash, also healthy, but we're about to start the big turn.
Chicken broth and water with a little oil, plenty of garlic and oregano, a bit of salt and pepper, bring to boil and throw in choice of cheap dry pasta...in my case rigatoni. Use just enough liquid to cover the pasta. Reduce to simmer, dump in sprouts. Brown and crumble some Italian sausage, hot or mild your choice, at my gf insistence we went with mild though I'd probably have gone with hot myself. When sprouts and pasta are tender, dump in squash and sausage. So, healthiness has definitely leveled off, and...
Crumble in a good size chunk of Havarti, for the meltiness, and a bunch of Asiago, Romano, Parmesan grated blend for the flavors and stir until everything melts into the remaining liquid to form an artery annihilating cheese sauce. Serve with garlic bread.
Sufficiently detailed?
PS: anyone who has an appropriately Italian sounding name for this, please provide.
