I got a stomach bug and went to the clinic. They gave me injection antibiotics. I looked them up and like 20% receive kidney damage and 12% permanent hearing loss. Wish me luck.

Rant: Brandon and Arya are sleeping on sequential steps, fully stretched out. I needed to really extend myself to try to step over them. UGH why do cats do this???

Just got a call from a windows tech support scammer. I tried my best to stall and troll but I wish could have prepared something much better!

Thanks you two. Yeah still here for two more weeks and some. They aren’t sure so antibiotics, probiotics, anti-parasites, and today I pick up more antibiotics. They gave me electrolytes too. $72 bucks for the whole visit plus drugs which apparently my insurance back home will cover later.

To me it’s indicative of this place: it’s pretty functional but they err on the side of overkill.

My game is to always try to get a phone number to call them back so I can pass the number on to the authorities.
You really have to work to get it from them.

Just got a call from a windows tech support scammer. I tried my best to stall and troll but I wish could have prepared something much better!

My ex fell for one of those once ... in his case, he had that "computer takeover" thing where you have to call to get your "virus" removed. He gave them my credit card number and everything, but fortunately he never responded to that "digital signature" email message. They were calling him back all night, but luckily I was able to get everything fixed.

I'm not a computer hacker by any means, but I do know how to do a system restore from safe mode

Sounds like a recipe for multi resistant bacteria.

That's one of my main reasons why I'll probably never visit a country outside of the Anglosphere and Western Europe; I'm absolutely terrified of picking up some kind of horrible parasite.

You know, people iz weird.
For example, some person who didn't know me half a week ago, read some of my book and proceeded to bombard me with tens of questions, which soon became personal. They kept noting that maybe they were being too nosy. Then I finally politely noted that I am not really presenting personal stuff and promptly got accused of being cold.

You have to put a stop to that immediately when it happens, eventually they'll grow out of it. At least, all the cats I've ever had did this as kittens and eventually stopped doing it. Of course, some cats only learn not to do it when there are humans around, but that's cats for you.

Hope ya feel better Hygro.

Been a long time since I had an antibiotic injected. I remember they went back to run my labs and came back into the room with masks on(ruh roh). The doc produces this big ol' needle and says, "we're going to give you this shot in your hip" and while not entirely lucide, I'm just sitting there thinking "nope, that thing's totally going in my ass." Hurt to walk for a while, but definitely better than pneumonia.

haha ! Cats are really smart ! They never seen You drinking out of the water dish so they have figured out the water in the cup is better
