Another rant: My team recently had three new openings (one guy retired, another left the bank, and another switched to a different team) I submitted some referrals for friends of mine who would be perfect fits, and my boss tried to push for them. But she was overruled by her boss, who hired three men (my referrals were all women) One guy I know for certain isn't nearly as skilled as one of my friends (she has two SQL certifications, he can't read code let alone write it) I'm still the only woman on my team (save for my immediate boss)

Rant that was growing through December....
Winter is coming. Nope, not anymore. Again... nope, not now. Snow some 5 times already (and gone), temperature crossing 0C like almost 20 times (guess but feel like that... like weather is playing with light switch). Gravel roads gets so soft/wet, bumpy and sometimes also undriveable because of that, and walking around land (farm) also is dirty stuff.... Ehh... I would love to have like -2..-6C (day) and -8..-12C (night) instead up to start/middle of March.
