Posters with arthritis - what was the first sign?

I've had strange aches in some of my joints lately. Nothing too bad but it's something new.

I have osteoarthritis in my knees. I figured it out when I could feel the bones in my knees grating together. :eek2:

Did it develop all of a sudden? Or was it a gradual process?

It was kind of slow. My knees were often sore before I noticed the grating, but I always thought it was because I bumped them into things a lot.

This is how we make the flour for our bread
But it's supposed to be the bones of an Englishman, according to the rhyme:

"Fe, fi, fo, fum!
I smell the blood of an Englishman!
Be he alive, or be he dead,
I'll grind his bones to bake my bread!"

But in this international age, @hobbsyoyo, you might want to avoid climbing beanstalks. :yup:

Oh, and see a doctor if you suspect you might have arthritis. It's best to find that out early, so you can make some decisions about treatment. When it gets bad enough, it will mean a few changes in how you do things, and if you'll need any different tools or aids to help you with stuff (for instance, I've had to get things to help me open bottles and jars, and tell pharmacists that they may NOT give me medications with child-proof caps).

Making bread out of ground-up bones sounds like a good way to get an upset stomach.

Bone meal was used as a human dietary supplement, good source of many necessary minerals, until it became too hard to find bones that weren't from animals who had consumed too much lead. It is still a major component in most livestock feeds.

I just use it as fertilizer on my wheat and potatoes. :mischief:

It's high in NPK, you know. ;)

After many days of better and better let’s say bathroom I risked fried food here and I gotta say whatever this soybean vegetable oil people use here gives me liquid out the back end. TMI? Too bad

The Chinese use soybean oil too. Do you usually have this type of trouble with Chinese food?

It might also be the water. You might be getting a good dose of Moctezuma's revenge…

Haribo sugar-free gummy bears.

No, they water is fine. It’s a certain brand but also no the oil used at Chinese’s restaurants in America are the same as other, depending, could be olive or canola. Soy sauce is different.

Rant: While trying to troubleshoot my wifi network, I had to reboot the router in the living room. My mother got mad at me for turning on a lamp and waking her up (why can't she just sleep in her bedroom?) and called me stupid. :undecide:

Aimee :hug:You are not stupid, in fact You are very intelligent !

Rant: I have lost my interest in virtually everything, and it shows. I can't learn new skills or improve old ones because I'm too bored to press on with it. I don't want to continue old hobbies or take up new ones. Almost everything has become a chore that I only do reluctantly. I eat, sleep, work, and walk the dog, and very little else, and I can't be bothered to do anything else. What's the point?

Sounds like Autumn depression. Check your D3 levels and other vitamins. After that check your life goals.
