^As relatively often, Hygro is right.

And in this case he *is* right. Why are you so dependent on your ex? You should both move on from each other. After all, there are more non-ex girls out there than exes.

I don't share the advice to not communicate with exes, though I do think it's wise to not view them as a spur-of-the-moment weekend trip with waggling eyebrows.

I've never had a problem with my tonsils, until today. I woke up with my left tonsil very swollen, and now my ear hurts too. It's painful to chew and swallow, or even move my tongue.

Not sure how it happened since I haven't been near anyone in a couple weeks, though I have a sneaking suspicion it's just irritation from the surgical disinfectant my dentist has me taking every night. Usually I'm upright for a while afterward, but last night I went right to bed and I noted that my throat hurt a bit when I laid down. I didn't think anything of it at the time. Won't be doing that again.

Ugh I hate having to monitor timing of medication and timing of lying down

she would like to but she has other things to do . Your breakup thing was rough ? Might have been some getting even or whatever .

Na, our breakup was alright, we're friends.

Stop talking to your ex

There's absolutely no need to.

A tonsilitis can develop from your normal commensal Streptococcus in your throat, in case the balance of your throat microbiome gets thrown off too much. Which I guess is very much the case with a desinfectant (plus stresss etc).
I hope not, and I hope you wake up all good :).

will not claim any expertise in any field but might have got some misjudged ideas on why you might miss her in this particular time .

By all means keep being friends with your ex, but maaaaybe spontaneously asking to tag along on a trip to another country is a bit much

I'm STILL coughing

Post-viral, and getting better day by day, slowly, but grrr
I am still coughing, and have a dodgy taste in my mouth. The bad bit is just feeling washed out and not on form with work. Also grrr.

:scan: @MaryKB is not German.
My grandfather was from Graz, Austria ... that's the same thing as German, isn't it? :D

@The_J she doesn't have an interest in you, but is too polite/scared to make it more clear. If you truly value her as a friend and aren't just keeping in touch because you hope to screw again at some point, please never be suggestive or such to her again. She has moved on and doesn't want to get back with you that way. She's being very clear in her message.

My rant: My husband doesn't seem to understand degrees, and it drives me crazy. I asked him to rotate a table clock by 5 degrees counterclockwise because it was triggering my OCD, and he instead rotated it 30 degrees, which didn't make things any better. Am I insane? He says I make no sense.

It’s not general advice

As a guy married to a woman with some OCD tendencies, you are insane and 5 degrees makes no sense at all. If you are going to turn it, TURN it! 30 degrees sounds pretty nice. :D My wife has learned that her need for orderliness in many aspects of life are lost on me and I will never get it right. Mary, he will never get right enough. You will have to do it yourself.

I tried to explain to him that 5 degrees is 1/6th of the way between the 12 and 1 on a clock, and he just looked at me with a blank expression. And you are old enough that you should have learned to get it right by now! :P
