Smashed my hand today while trying to fix the ceiling vent in our apartment. I know I probably should have called maintenance for it, but it was an easy job so I decided to just do it myself. Well, Murphy's Law decided it wanted to make my day a little more interesting and turned that easy job into a possible fractured hand that hurts like the dickens.

Technically, that's Sod's Law, but still.

Bought new shoes, but once I tried them on at home I didn't like them any more. It's the same time every time I buy a pair of shoes. Whyyy?

I'll admit it, I like to like shoes. I don't buy shoes very often so once I make the purchase I'm stuck with them for quite some time.

So I believe I noticed why I didn't get the job while discussing it with people at my current job.

Other than the chefs, store owner and one checkout lady at this fish and chip shop, the rest of the checkout staff are very young, looking <18.

They prefer to recruit under 18 year olds as they only have to pay them £3.87 an hour. Min wage discrimination!
