What, are you positive you have something or is this test just preemptive?
I went to the doctor for recurrent long lasting throat infection. I have it like 5,6,7 times per year, sometimes bad enough to stay at home, sometimes not, always with long lasting coughing afterwards (like...2-3 weeks), and that for the last couple of years. Right now one side of my throat is still infected, and the main infection is more than two weeks ago.
I sure googled beforehand. But went to the doctor, and she said what I've read: Test for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia. She didn't initially want to do the HIV, but I said it should maybe be done too.
I can count my "encounters" on my both hands, and no interaction was in any way dangerous, but... who knows. I could imagine a possibility when many things had gone wrong at the same time point, but this is really a small possibility.
I didn't get a call today. When I wanted to call, it was outside the doctors calling hours (because here you cannot call when the doctor is open, but only at specific times, because...I have no idea).
While I was looking at the website for the opening hours (wasn't sure if it's until 5 on Fridays), I saw that my doctor is closed next week.

brilliant

The results for the first 2 should already be in, that was tested separately in the urine, which I delivered earlier. Would already be good to know that, because having these and still being able to recover probably means it's not the latter.
I also checked yesterday, there are reports that there might be the possibility that oral Gonorrhea could be transmitted via kissing (or in general, oral mucus), so need to pay attention now. Reports on that are inconclusive though and e.g. the NHS says it's not possible.
Probably good then that my date for Sunday just canceled

.
Would have been in a different city, so nothing would have happened anyways...
Means I have to postpone the one which I just postponed to next week again. Because I thought until Wednesday I'll for sure have the results.
Bah

EDIT: The funny part is that I work at a microbiology lab in a hospital. If I knew anyone from the diagnostics department good enough, I could probably figure out if they have quick tests here. But I don't, and going randomly through the supplies... IDK, I could do that, it's now after office hours, there shouldn't be anyone around, but I even have no idea where that stuff is.
EDIT2: Yeah, how funny. This is the biggest hospital in a range of like 50 km, the only night apothecary in the range of 20 km, and the only test they have is a pregnancy test

.
(the diagnostics lab where I'm sitting right now obviously must have tests, but as said...)
