When I was a car salesman the thing I most loved to hear was some arrogant prig saying "I've bought a lot of cars..."
Really? How many? I sold nineteen...last month. Twenty-two the month before that. So how many? How much of an advantage do you think your vast experience gives you? Jerk.
I spent most of my career as a car salesman searching for reasons to not feel bad about just crushing a customer and squeezing every penny out of them, so I always appreciated it when they made it easy like that.

Most people online tend to think I'm younger than my RL age (I've never hidden that) and it's a surprise when they do find out my age.
But for me, age just means how many trips I've made around the Sun. The way to look at this and not get upset about growing older is to remember that this is an annual trip that we get to do for free (transportation-wise, that is; I know we have to pay for everything else). Some day, some space tourist company will build a fancy ship and figure out how to charge people $$$$$$$ for this.
Actually, turning 30 isn't scary. I remember my aunt making a fuss about it, but for me, it was a good year. For one thing, my SCA group gave me a surprise birthday party - only time anyone ever did that, and it was really nice of them. For another, later that year was when I caught and adopted a feral kitten. That was one of the most challenging things I've ever done, trying to keep that kitten alive throughout an extremely cold October until my dad and I could catch him and bring him into the house.

Bah. Weather in June here apparently comes in two flavors:

I noticed that my body temperature has felt a lot more manageable than ever before this year. Must be due to the amazing venlafaxine. I believe I used to have hot flushes and heart palpitations due to GAD.

Missing bus causing running late for future movements. I saw the goddamn bus go past too, infuriating stuff.
So I'm driving down a piece of rural interstate the other day. There's only 1 other car in sight on the whole road. He's coming up fast behind me. I have the cruise control set on 72, so my speed isn't changing. The ass passes me, pulls in front of me just 50 feet or so in front, and slows down to the point where I have to hit the brakes and back off. 
And of course if there had been an accident he would have insisted it was all your fault...
The people at the other end of the floor in my apartment building deserve to get kicked out. Honestly, this place could have been burned down today, because they left a pot on the stove, didn't shut the stove off, and left. Thank goodness it was just their suite affected, and the main problem was smoke. The fire department got here quickly and dealt with it.
But it could have turned out so much worse.
The people at the other end of the floor in my apartment building deserve to get kicked out. Honestly, this place could have been burned down today, because they left a pot on the stove, didn't shut the stove off, and left. Thank goodness it was just their suite affected, and the main problem was smoke. The fire department got here quickly and dealt with it.
But it could have turned out so much worse.

Today my mother took ill to the point where my stepfather asked me to look after her she was fine after a while. Needed to go to the doctors though.
I had phoned ahead of my volunteering and told them that I would not be there at 9:30
She was fine about it, went there later as I arrived my colleagues where in a group outside doing some work approached them said hello and asked friendly how was my mother I told her another colleague criticized me by saying "you turned up when we had done half the work already"
My response was pretty passive aggressive (and shared a look with other collegues)
Secondly my next door neighbor was taken away in an ambulance. I offered my condolences to people.
Thirdly people I know all had a crap day today.
Karma near me is bad right now.

70. I could have gone 77 or so safely. But the road was a bit curvey for wanting to.
That's not karma. Karma would be of the person who was mean to you about having already finished half the work had been struck by a divine lightning bolt and died.
