Random Rants Two

I spent 4 hours today trying to get openSUSE 10.3 to work. I tried putting 10.2 and Kubuntu to try and clean the mess up and it didn't work either. I was able to get into 10.3 but my wifi card wouldn't take (though it worked just fine in 10.2) and GRUB kept giving me error 21 when trying to get back into Windows.

No wonder most people don't want to bother with it. It doesn't work right no matter what you do, and the upgrades break what worked before. What point is increased security if the thing can't reach the net?

I forgot how much Charles Barron just ticks me off. I was reminded when I came within one foot of him in front of 250 Broadway, where most of the City Council's offices reside. Which was a bit of a shock, since I hadn't heard from him in a while, surprisingly.

Man, he grinds my gears!

(Though I will say, he is usually pretty well dressed.)

but just like Minneapolis they have the jerk drivers who speed up instead of backing off when they see you trying to merge into their lane. My '97 pickup already has some dings in it, so I certainly wouldn't mind putting a big ding into your '07 SUV! :trouble:

I've also noticed that a bunch of them have a tendency to drive in more than one lane at once, especially at on and off ramps.

RANT: (take 2)

TTC bus drivers.

The sign said the bus was at X:41. X:39, and I'm at the stop, and drop something. I go to pick it up, and the bus stops. I get it, head for the bus, and as Im about to step in the door, he drives away (with the door open too).

Thankfully avoided rush-hour traffic, and the people (walking) in downtown Chicago were more friendly than I expected, but just like Minneapolis they have the jerk drivers who speed up instead of backing off when they see you trying to merge into their lane. My '97 pickup already has some dings in it, so I certainly wouldn't mind putting a big ding into your '07 SUV! :trouble:

If there is one thing I cannot stand it is that. Some people are just inconsiderate. They would rather be 10 feet in front of your vehicle than let you in to get off somewhere further down the road.

Like the people that rush and cut you off just to get to the next red light a block down.

Silly drivers. Tricks are for idiots.

This has nothing to do with a rant, but looking at goodenoughforme's post made me realise that FTW = WTH backwards! wierd huh?

I have known this for some time, but I was thinking about it at lunch today. We must have a psychic connection with major lag.

I realized I lost my cell phone and it had a bunch of numbers which I probably won't be able to recover... :(

So tired.

Left the house at 5;30 am this morning.

went to bed after midnight last night.

Broke a string. Forgot to by replacements last time. The drive to the nearest guitar shop to buy new strings is about half an hour. Which means I'll have to go like a whole day without playing...
