Ugh, some birthday that was yesterday- started nice and early with a really uplifting lecture on Nationalism and Racism which concluded that while the holocaust may be in the past, ethnic cleansing could easily happen again. The rest of the day was spent writing an essay

apart from the evening when I became a mixture of very ill and very drunk as a result I became quite withdraw, my flatmates left without me so I had to find my way home alone, and through that kind of drunken fury I made sure to be as noisy as possible so as to wake everyone up.

Trouble is now I feel really bad and I daren't leave my room because of the awkwardness should I bump into anyone...
I'm also half way to forty, and that just downright scares me
