Bloody oven still...it hadn't worked since Monday, so I called in a repairman. He shows up on time for the service call, has a look at it, and it starts right up for him. He thinks the igniter is going bad--that's going to be roughly $75 plus labor on a (probably) 15-year-old gas range/oven. My wife and I are on the hedge about buying a new one. We probably will, but whether to replace it with another gas-only unit, an electric one, or a dual-fuel model (gas stove top/electric oven) is up in the air. *sigh*

At least I have Monday's planned meal ready now. Bloody oven...

I forgot that the building was having maintenance done today that meant turning off the water for 6 hours. I remembered this as I went to turn the shower on.

My solution was to wash with hand sanitizer until I could get a real shower in tonight.

I got scammed out of 30 euros. Just when I was entering a terrible situation with money. Unbelievable, this has never happened to me before. It was only because somebody told me about how awesome it was, and how it didn't cost anything to try it for 2 weeks. Well, let's just say it wasn't like that. I want to kill the bastard who brought me into this. I take pride in being able to spot scams a mile away. All right, I'm off to search for every empty bottle in my flat, take them to a supermarket and receive a couple of cents for each, in order to have money for food. No kidding.
