RANDOM RANTS XXI: Relapse

That reminds me of that time I collapsed in my hall, so very much dizzy (I had been crapping and puking blood without knowing it). I still managed to send off a text to my GF saying "dont panic now but I think I'll be spending the night in a hospital cause I collapsed on the floor and I cant stand on my own."

I just spent 5 mins writing on a facebook page called "varför får man inte säga negerboll när man får säga vitlök".

In Swedish, the word for garlic is "vitlök", which literally means white-onion.

In Sweden, we have this pastry called ""chokladboll"[chocolate ball]". It used to be called (during a time when there practically weren't any black people in Sweden) "negerboll" [Negro ball, or, N-word ball] (the n-word and negro both mean the n-word in Swedish).

Nowadays if you say negro ball there's the risk of people thinking you're a racist. This facebook page is saying "why isn't it okay to say negro ball when it's okay to say garlic?"

I'm ranting because I spent 5 min writing a long text about something that I find to be a little obvious... namely, white is a colour (and therefore kind of neutral) whereas negro is considered very insulting.

A tree fell on a power line causing a massive leathal lightshow and making me lose power for 2-2.5 hours. At first I thought the ghost of Tesla was coming back!

I assume there's a non-offensive Swedish word for "Black"?

I wish there was a ctrl+F function for books.

I was thinking about my high school art teacher strangely enough and he NEVER ever drew or painted and rarely showed his art, when a student asked him about that, he said he didn't want to discourage his students, quite an ego, eh? But he was awesome, I liked him a lot. I kinda miss high school.

Moderator Action: Just a reminder, guys: Don't accuse others of trolling. It's against the rules to say you're ignoring somebody. Keep your rants within the rules, 'k? :)

Is it against the rules to say that you're ignoring, say, Zack, or is it against the rules to just say that you're ignoring someone on this forum?

Also, are you accusing someone of trolling by saying that you're ignoring someone unspecific?

1. Yes.
2. Not sure; would need to look that up.
3. Your question is a little confusing; could you please restate it?

I just posted a reminder as a caution, since some posts were skirting the line veryclosely.

If I were to say "I have one poster on my ignore list. I found his posts to be trollish so I put him there." Am I breaking the law? I am, technically, accusing someone of trolling.

My new therapist kept telling me to give up porn because it 'taints' my thinking.

Did s/he elaborate further as to how it was tainting your thinking?

I hope he maximised the opportunity for double entendre in choosing to use that word.

Only that it was making me think of women as sex objects.

Psychiatry is a lie!

The incessant tapping of heels is now replaced by the incessant flapping of flip-flops. Why must women wear such annoying footwear?

I assume from the third line of your signature that that means you hate your therapist.
