Redwings was just because red and white, and I played them in a videogame in the late 1990s, Senators was because I like the mascot and logo for a future Canberra team (we even have a real senate, unlike Canada). In practice right now I just wish the Canadian teams well, since it's their sport and all.

I found out that the property management company is going to pay for the electricity I used this month (I have to pay up front and they'll take the amount off my following month's rent; that should make an interesting explanation to my case worker since I have to provide proof each month that the rent has been paid).
So that's a break I needed.

We had a really bad cold snap (I know I tease some of the warm-climate people here, but even -50C is too cold for me), and I had to run a space heater for about a week or so, after freezing in multiple layers of clothes for about 3 days.
Turns out there was not only no insulation under my floor (my apartment is over the outdoor parkade), but also not enough in the walls. I'm on disability, with multiple medical issues going on.
The manager realized that this is not a situation that's my fault (as I pointed out to him last year), and it's entirely reasonable to use extra electricity for a space heater in these circumstances. I wasn't doing anything irresponsible like having windows open and I had asked them about putting plastic over the windows.
Anyway, the point is that I can't afford a skyrocketing electricity bill, the manager here knows it, he has a conscience about it, and persuaded his boss to give me a break.
As for the insulation getting fixed, that's something they plan to figure out in the spring.

Also makes for really obvious chanting of "squish the fish" in opposing arenas. My local minor league team was in a league with a team called the Steelheads and I'm sure they got worn out on that one.

Relatively limited in scope due to the limitations of federal law, ie it doesn't allow commercialisation and indeed there's technically no legal way to acquire it in order to grow and use it, and there's still the threat of the police trying to use federal law to prosecute someone, but hey, it's still better than the rest of the country.
I personally don't like the stuff but I still like positive law changes

In most cases that would probably be a rant, but good for you.
It's really nice to have real-life friends again. It feels like it's been such a long time for me, but even then I can't remember things being this active. For so many years I struggled to figure out why people didn't like me, and now I've really got to conclude it was likely due to my depression and anxiety. I just love getting texts for things like "Would you like to meet for lunch and go to a movie?" It's so nice to be liked for once in my life 
Five hours early means I had them well before suppertime, with plenty of time to put them away and reorganize the cupboards as needed. They weren't supposed to get here until 7:30 pm.
Furthermore, the Amazon delivery got here on time, too.
Now I just need London Drugs to be prompt, and it'll be a hat trick.
