Mr KB finally got his transfer to the hospital in my county! Now his drive to work will be about twenty minutes, instead of nearly an hour This is really wonderful news! We've been waiting since July, but his old ER was having staffing problems and didn't want him to go.

On the one hand, seriously, congratulations. Commutes are awful.
On the other hand, that's 40, no 80 minutes of Snerk time lost every day.

Seattle's NHL team may indeed end up being called the Kraken, despite reports last year saying it was one of the first cut.

I really hope that's the name they pick. It will sound so awesome in the arena.

I assume you like hockey? I find it hard to care about most sports taking place in my country, let alone thousands of miles away across one or more oceans.

I've never watched much ice hockey, but not having a team to follow is part of why. I'm not someone who can get into a sport or league without barracking for a team. For example the lack of a Canberra team in our men's soccer league leaves me basically not following our men's soccer league at all, and the demise of San Diego has largely killed my interest in the NFL beyond wishing ill on the Patriots.

Also, I dunno why some people are upset at the name... if we can have teams in sport called the Phoenix, Titans, Argonauts, Giants and Dragons, we can have Kraken.
