Random Raves Two

 So it's not as unheard of as I thought. It is indeed expensive.

I didn't go down there, but a recruiter held sessions in an office in the Park Row building of Pace University, to which I was invited, as a potential applicant in New York. Oddly enough, I went to Pace University instead.

Well I'm still not entirely sure where to go. As generous as the offer is, I need to choose the university that is best for me. It definitely leveled the playing field though, until I got the news it was a distant fourth.

God, I'm SO GLAD I checked out the Pace website just now. I was debating whether to miss tonight's evening class because of my fatigue and the weather. And all campuses of Pace (downtown NYC and Westchester campuses) will be closed effective 4 PM.

God, that would have been horrible to have wasted time going there only to find out nothing was going on. Three hour round-trip or more, given the rush hour and the weather.

It isn't so much that the classes are canceled (they'll be made up sometime in May), but that I didn't waste my time out there.

Today, my friend got splinters, sadly.

So then we went to the nurse to get help.

However, it seems the school seems content with a poorly-funded health station as the nurse's office didn't have any tweezers.

So then, we tried one of my keychains to improvise, but it was too thick.

Finally, I called my other friend to tell why we were late, and these were my words:

"The medic doesn't have any tweezers"

I have three gigantic raves:

1. My code, which I have been procrastinating on for three days, is complete and compiles! :bday:

2. My code functions correctly at runtime, and appears to not leave any garbage memory behind!

3. I can go to sleep now!

They're coming to take me away, ha haaa
They're coming to take me away, ho ho, he he, ha ha...

FAMILY DAY!!!

The holiday that is meant to tide us over from New Year's to Easter! The only reason to have voted liberal instead of NDP, since the conservatives had thrown away the election.

A free day off work! Or if you work anyways, you get paid 150% of what you'd normally make! And there is no law forcing anyone to spend it with their families anyways, just off work.

HAPPY THIRD MONDAY IN FEBRUARY EVERYONE!

French II?

I don't get american courses. How do you get one? Isn't course selection before the school year starts? Also, what would French II be the equivalent of? Surely not grade 2 french, so grade 10? IDK.

Well, ok.

Don't you have the option of taking Spanish in High School? Isn't it called Spanish I/II/III/IV?

Yeah, but I can take a class online.

I met someone who cast a shadow over my life for the last few years, and its lifted!

I joined Civilization Fanatics' Forums!

Welcome aboard!

And I am quite pleased with the fact that I was able to put away a decent percentage of the money I need to move after graduation!

I got hammered last night!

Then I played a classic Canadian game called "Buckets and Gloves". Basically two people put on hockey gloves and helmets and fight. Also, since there was lots of snow it didnt hurt when you fall down. I went with this guy who is like 40 pounds heavier and a year older than me. Also he wasn't drunk and I was. I got destroyed but it was still fun.

Sounds fun, though I've never played it. (or at least not with that name. is it (at least the name) a London thing?)

Did a hockey game break out from your fight?

I think I might double major.

I'm sticking with Finance but I also might want a B.A. in Foreign Language and International Trade with German as my language. Luckily, since half of it is business classes, I'll have over 50% of it completed. Leaving me with my German classes and an internship in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland.

:)

Looks like you're ready to kick my rear academically! :salute:
