OMG! 5 overtime Syracuse/UConn game is intense.

Like, a permit? You still have to ride around with an adult but you can get behind the wheel and practice driving?

Yeah. I have to do 120 hours of driving with a fully licensed driver (not a provisionally licensed driver), including 20 hours of night driving, with a speed limit of 80 km/h. You have to have them for a minimum of one year. Then I move from my "L's" to "P's" (provisional licence). Firstly, red P's, where you can drive without supervision, but have certain passenger restrictions after a certain time at night, a speed limit of 90 km/h, and no demerit points on your licence. You have to have that for two years, before you get your green P's, which you must have for two years, with a few demerit points, less restrictions, and a 100 km/h limit. Oh, and one your P's, you can't drive a V8 or turbo car, you cannot have any alcohol in your blood, as in a 0.00% limit, and you can't use a mobile phone, hands free or not, whilst driving.

Dang. Only restriction on my driving ever was the drive with another driver for six months of my permit and now I can only have one passenger in the car at one time for a few months unless there's another driver with me. Which is a rule nobody follows anyway. It would suck learning to drive in Australia.

I think there may be a curfew but it's like one in the morning and there are so many exceptions to it (school, work, church, wanted a taco)that are basically impossible to verify. It may as well not exist.

Well, after bowing to pressure from the public about 'those young hoons', the government instituted these unrealistic and draconian laws a few years ago, expanding the number of hours you have to do for your L's from 50 hours to 120 hours. Consequently, I don't know anyone who doesn't fudge the figures. This is a true example of the minority spoiling it for the majority.

Not sure if it's like this in Sydney, but the worst addition was the passenger restrictions. Yeah, instead of 5 teens in 1 car, they're in 3 different cars. Not sure how that's safer for anyone.

Yeah. It's the same. I mean, I see that good intention is in the rules, but they haven't really been thought through properly.

I picked up my copy of Resident Evil 5 on Friday and so far it's a pretty awesome game.

Apparently, the Swarthmore College Admissions Committee liked my application so much that they told me of my admittance way early.

Forecast is up for college admissions. :)

Wake and Bake!

Hooray for Paddy's week too.

For the next week, the sophomores have all-important standardized tests to take- and anyone. like me, who isn't taking them gets 3 more hours of sleep. :)

Its when you wake up get out of bed, light a spliff and chill.

Well then, I guess it does mean the same. I thought it had something to do with croissant rolls!

So my evil plan worked! :mischief:
