Recently, I've seen college-aged people around here who could've been mistaken for 1970s-era Stevie Nicks and Isaac Hayes (not together, although that would've awesome if they'd been a couple ). Both of them were wearing the sunglasses indoors when I saw them, him in the Winter, her in the Spring, so both of them were clearly mimicking a look. They both could have been doing cosplay or going to a "70s party", except that it was during rush hour on a weekday, so I expect that's just how they wanted to dress, at least that day.

Oh, another thought just occurred to me. I can't remember who it was now, but someone I know around my age was complaining recently about the prices at 2nd-hand and 'vintage' clothing stores. Prices in general have been going up, of course, but if these looks are becoming trendy with younger people, that could be part of it, too.

There could be random fake do it yourself videos on youtube and you might not ever know until it's too late (if ever). Just guys making it up, but spending the time, money, and effort to make it all look legit, but telling you the completely wrong thing for farts and giggles.. or perhaps some deeper sinister reason.

From what I understand there ARE food preparation videos like that, steps that will just not work, but get the views and make the creators money.. If you try to follow the recipe and formula, you are going to end up with radioactive styrofoam and not a fancy steamed ham though.

Now take that concept and apply it to a home DIY project with a bit more importance than even a fancy steamed ham.

So lately I've been reading about UFO lore.

I kinda take it as a sign I'm approaching middle age.

After a while, nearly ALL of life just gets mundane. The magic goes. And you sorta want it back. I feel like reading about UFO lore is sorta the male equivalent of the romance novel. It really only becomes attractive as the world loses its shine. You know what you're reading is a story but it still manages to be captivating.

I even appreciate it as this sorta bizarre Americana. Like, there's this video of Las Vegas newsman George Knapp interviewing John Lear. It's up on YouTube. It's got this grainy quality, Knapp has this sorta timeless newsman flair that simply isn't seen anymore, on an interview show which itself isn't seen much anymore, the music is classic news 80s, while Lear is saying some wild bleep but somehow comes across as a classic member of a political class that has since really ceased to exist(think Bush the Elder) who may or may not have smuggled things into foreign countries in a covert CIA op.

Oddly I guess this Lear would introduce Knapp to Bob Lazar, the man who claimed to work at area 51 that would make the interview that introduced the Area 51 phenomenon to the culture.

like basically 15 years after telling the city people that if ı was real as in a spy or Commander, Death Squads they would not be able to track my internet stuff . Maybe 10 years , maybe less that Americans did actually warn them that my internet persona was clearly not me , basically everyday or week or year that they are not to interfere , locals discover the possibility that despite their constant absolute watch , it is possible that they are not seeing the entire picture . Should ı be relieved ? Tablet changes itself , despite that supposedly ı allow no upgrades . This time if ı open multiple tabs , a coloured dot shows the origin of the pages , like if ı open 10 tabs of CFC , it doesn't go away until ı close all 10 . Had no problem operating with 50 or 100 tabs . ı do not want it .

the problem is clearly one of flexibility in selection in interpretation . If ı say something , ı will myself call it so if it is no longer applicable . If ı say nothing , it clearly does not mean there is nothing to it . People hate it when there is indeed something to random stuff ; do not try blaming me .

for those who need the context , the city thinks ı have some fighter jet business and apparently ı must share . Or something to that end .

well , on Sunday people were somehow talking ı had 70 dead or whatever . You know , ı am actually writing a piece how ı have become a bogey in public imagination and this is being manipulated ... Like ı will not name the lot the "message" was meant for but considering ı was given an hour long lecture on the ways and whys of people phoning newspapers in the past to claim credit for stuff that happened and do a little bit of propaganda , it seems possible to me that ı have offended some people in the city nearby and whatnot . This ı deduce from the chance encounter of seeing a person who incidentally lives nearby and was one of the few who had never showed me "teeth" in my 20 months as a museum guide from a distance . Like if people think if they are long not passed as a note in history and everything must be about them and thus arranging incidents and accidents , perhaps they should send A. to give some eloquent speech or something . So that it would be known , right ? (No , of course ı do not have 70 dead people to my name . Do you believe ı have an house on Titan ? That ı have been to hundreds of different stars ? No ? Don't believe in this either !)

but life goes on . The gentlemen who used to gang on me in some online forum apparently still can not stomach Turkishness long after having kicked me out ... So , they put forward some other to complain . Because there is a whole book about them , and it is definitely not by me ! If you ever come across some video that explains Eurofighter , Rafale , Gripen , Lavi , its Chinese follow on , Yugoslav Novi Avion , Swiss Piranha and X-31 all have their roots in a 1970s Swedish research programme , to the tune of some random Frank Sinatra song , because mobsters , you will understand some basically have no motivation to understand having a cake , eating the cake and mocking have-nots at the same time will eventually cause indigestion in your precious body .
