Today the United States Supreme Court, aka "those loonies in black capes" told the Shrub to stop giving people military tribunals at Gitmo. It is expected that the Shrub will do as little about this as possible and continue to hold people at Gitmo.
In other news, IBM's motion to limit SCO's new claims in the Linux lawsuit has been granted in very large part. This means that the judge basically said "stop lying, SCO".
In a related story, the EU Court is "ready" to begin giving Microsoft daily fines that seem staggeringly large to us, but which Microsoft will ignore, if they should ever be handed out, that is.
(I'm trying to be more or less equally offensive to everyone today.)
Lots of people died today, while several more were born, most of these babies to people without a clue about the population problem.
It is expected that resource overconsumption will increase dramatically but not noticeably.
Repercussions from the Muhammad Cartoons continue to ripple through Denmark.

After the murder of filmmaker Theo Van Gogh, his muse Ayaan Hirsi Ali is moving to America in protest of the Dutch not passing enough laws about the whole religion pile of crap.
Half the government is resigning and blaming the other half for not handling the situation properly.
Also in the news, Montenegro sucessfully declares enough independence from Serbia in order that Montenegro will join the UN, but Serbia and Montenegro still have a football team. What schizophreniacs.
In the continuing Middle East Crisis, aka "those people who keep shooting each other on religious, political, ethnic and propaganda grounds", Israel (aka the Zionist Entity) has invaded the Gaza Strip (aka Home of the Arab Squatters).
