Wrong again. As a Dutchie I feel equally superior to Americans as I do to Germans, Belgiums, French or Danes for instance. Swedes and Norwegians are the exception.
This anti-americanism is fundamentally based on an inferiority complex, as Europe is not the main superpower in the world.
Communism hates the system itself of the US.
You are aware that Europe has had poor foreign relations too? The colonies?Or it is based on 60 years of collosally poor foreign relations which has caused far more trouble in the world today than it has resolved. Occam's Razor.
I said power, not "they hate our freedom." It is true that communists fundamentally hate the bourgeoisie system of the United States, essentially by definition.Ah yes, the classic GWB "they hate our freedom" straw man.
What do you think is the point of referring to the EU as a single nation when it's not? Because they can only be collectively superior if they pretend if they were united. However, they do not want to be a genuine single nation. This anti-americanism is fundamentally based on an inferiority complex, as Europe is not the main superpower in the world. Most Anti-Americanism is based on its status as a superpower as opposed to genuine hate of the system itself. Communism hates the system itself of the US. RRW claims to be communist. Therefore, his hatred should run deeper than that of mere superpower status.
America isn't a great country because it's a superpower just like middle aged men with receding hairlines do not become any younger because they own a Porche.
Precisely.holy king said:ah, you mean the moderate left. ok.
No. People hate it when people go: "Look at me! I'm a superpower and you are not! Ha ha ha ha ha!"I never said that America is a great country because it is a superpower, I just said that is why those people hate it.

You might not have talked about it. But it does happen. So I'm simply disagreeing on the reason why.I certainly didn't talk about the reasons why America is great.
The US and Soviet Unions wer allies merely because they had a common enemy, not because they liked each other. They most certainly hated each other, and this is why the situation change once Germany and Japan were out of the equation.Formaldehyde said:Ah yes, that explains why the US and the Soviet Union were such staunch allies durring WWII. Because they hate us as much as we hate them.
No, the Soviet Union was most certainly philosophical opposed to the United States, as the United States was a bourgeoisie nation.I think you are confusing being philosophically opposed with being militarily opposed. The US immdiately started threatening the Soviet Union immediately after WWII with nuclear annihilation if they didn't toe the line. Don't you those acts caused a bit of resentment and hostility on their part over the years?
Edwards F-22 Pilot Did Not Eject
Some senior U.S. Air Force officials were notified yesterday that there was no pilot ejection from the F-22 that crashed near Edwards AFB Base.
The Lockheed Martin pilot was declared dead at the hospital which seemed to indicate he was killed after ejection, but officials at Edwards said that statement was simply a pro forma statement for the investigation. USAF officials said the report of no ejection came soon after the crash, but almost immediately a complete security blanket was dropped over the investigation and no more data has been revealed.

Don't you those acts caused a bit of resentment and hostility on their part over the years? Did you know that the Soviet practiced civil defense on a regular basis right up to the point where their government collapsed because they were always truly fearful that we would first strike them?
I'm fairly certain the Soviet Union was never really much interested in global domination at any point in their history. Ironically that was the US game, not theirs.
The US and Soviet Unions wer allies merely because they had a common enemy, not because they liked each other. They most certainly hated each other, and this is why the situation change once Germany and Japan were out of the equation.

Analogy fails because America is a great country, but this analogy merely delves into the reason why. So spare me![]()
I would feel bad for the fact that some poor Korean had to grow up in the Stalinist nightmare, get conscripted and be used as cannon fodder.Hate? how will you feel if the North Korean missile test goes arseways and kills one of their soldiers?
I guess we need to re-examine the legacy of presidents Debs, Thomas, and Wallace. And you are conveniently forgetting that socialism was extremely popular in this country until the reactioanaries convinced everybody else to root it out at all costs in the 50s due to the "Soviet menace".
