Wow. We're the tech leaders on Demigod and we have 497 gold and +6 gpt.
Since we have to declare on France in 6 turns, we need to have some minimal military just in case, which will help with the barbarians as well.
(IT) Indian warrior approaches York. Barbarian attacks our warrior on a hill, we win flawlessly, but no promotion. Forest chop quickens York Granary.
(1|41) 2110 BC
Our curragh encounters a barbarian galley and sinks it flawlessly. Our warrior near York discovers another barbarian camp, just 4 tiles from undefended York.
(IT) Warrior defends against barbarian warrior flawlessly, no promotion.
(2|42) 2070 BC
There are four more wheat just northeast of York. There's a city location that could grab 5 wheat. Thats 8 wheat in a 7x5 tile area.
(IT) Another barbarian galley approachs one of our curraghs.
(3|43) 2030 BC
London: Archer -> Worker in 2. We really need to get some of this forest at London chopped, to get us some quick shields and more 2 food tiles (and hopefully some BG).
With this Archer, we are at our limit. 2 warriors, 1 spearman, 1 archer for 2 cities. It head to York.
Destroy barbarian camp near York for 25 gold. We'll want a city here soon.
(IT) Nothing.

Kill a barbarian galley with our curragh.
Archer arrives in York, can reduce Luxury slider two notches, to 0%.
(IT) Barbarian horseman from northwest camp charges our warrior on a hill and loses without doing damage. Still no promotion. Enough of this camp, with its horsemen and no promotions!
(5|45) 1950 BC
London: Worker -> Settler in 6. Would normally build units, but need more cities first.
York: Granary -> Settler in 10. Without any fresh water and unexpanded borders, this isn't much of a settler pump, but luckily its shield-poor as well at the moment.
(IT) The Indians are building the Oracle in Madras. The Spanish are building the Colossus in Barcelona.
(6|46) 1910 BC
Destroy the northwest barbarian camp for 25 gold, no more horsemen towards are capitol from that!
And hey, hey, guess what its time for!
We are at war with the French.
I expect no action until Map Making is discovered, and currently no one has Writing.
(IT) The Indians are building the Pyramids in Delhi. The Indians place Lahore nearby.
(7|47) 1870 BC
Luxury slider to 10% to keep York (now size 4) happy.
(IT) Nothing.
(8|48) 1830 BC
Nada.
(IT) Nothing.
(9|49) 1790 BC
Warrior near York finds yet another barbarian camp.
(IT) Warrior from barbarian camp loses to our warrior and does no damage.
(10|50) 1750 BC
We research Writing, and begin Map Making in 50. No one else knows Writing. No one else has anything worth trading for.
I suggest building embassies with our ample gold with everyone to foster relations, give us intel, and inform us of other wars. It would cost a bit more than 200 gold out of our current 600.
We get a Settler in 1 from London and a Settler in 4 from York. This should allow us to build some units for satisfactory defense, and possibly the razing of Lahore, which is away from Indian supply lines.
