I don't hate Civ III but I have zero interest in it at this point. It was a great game at the time but Civ IV (to me) blew it away and why would I wanna take a step backwards? So, the Civ III bonus is pretty much a waste. Not to mention I have Civ III discs somewhere around here.

The deal looks decent overall though if the "future DLC" ends up being $10, which with the way DLC looks to fleece the bejesus out of players, is probably about what it'll be.

The thing is...it's only a good deal if you think paying $10 for one or two civs and maps (probably won't use), scenarios (definitely won't use), or whatever else (that probably won't use) is ok.

Personally I think $10 for 2 civs and a map is a ripoff vs $50 for the (not really) full game (since these days they milk it and you don't really get the full game anymore).

You can say some of the junk you get has value but to me it has no value because I'll never do anything with it. So...

$50 for 18 civs, game engine, loads of maps, scenarios and content.

$10 for babylon and 2 future mystery civs and a bunch of junk.

I dunno man, I don't like that math.

Plus, unless they put a cutoff like "this offer ends xxx before release" I'd hold out til the last moment. We're already seeing all kinda of variety in digital offers. If you preorder now then next week something better will probably come along.
