Damn. Go germany then!

And to MN-ah. So that was the one. Im still thinking about it.

To ALL-The final plan has been sent to LH. Now we wait, and i get off. Your alone on here now MN

I would absolutly refuse to use pacifism. It cripples our economy if we have a military, which will be required with LH making random events all the time trying to plunge us into war.

OOC: HR is fine if we are having happiness problems. Otherwise i would prefer not too.

And having both pacifism AND HR doesnt make sense. Pacifism makes military units expensive. HR creates happiness with more military in cities.

HR only OOC.

IC: HR controls the people. People deserve more than that!

And we could argue over Pacifism after we get Philo.

A monarch IS a despot. Unless it's a Constitutional Monarchy (which we can't get before a constitution), in which case the monarch gets WAY too much attention for being rich and doing nothing.

I would just like to point out that there are no "best" civics. While it is true that some civics are stronger overall than others (Bureaucracy), each civic can be very useful when adopted at the proper time.

Right now, I would say that Pacifism would not help us. The main benefit of Pacifism is doubling the rate of Great Person generation. But do we even have the infrastructure in place to make use of it? Not yet. I am also concerned about adopting a civic that penalizes a large military while we have hostile neighbors.

I would also suggest that we accept MathNerd's deal (no criticisms of city builds) if you have not already, arya.

Now? Now I am going to wait and see what kind of curveball LH throws us.

Pacifism means a Specialist economy would be very effective, and there is a lot of food in the Empire.

Yes, but at the moment, we don't have the infrastructure (like Libraries) to make the most out of it. Maybe at some point in the future. And if you're committed to a Specialist Economy, the Pyramids for early Representation is rather necessary, in my opinion. Cottages are stronger in the long-run, though, but Rep-enhanced Scientists are competitive if you have enough of them.

I am sorry but i must decline your offer Mathnerd.

Whosit, you are definitely by far the wisest politician I've seen. And not just because of the accept MN's deal part. :p

How about a counter compromise? We will bulb Theology ASAP, and you will accept slavery.

How about this: You bulb Theo ASAP and do not declare EP, and we retract our formal demand about slavery.

EDIT: Arya, did you ever hear back from LH about whether or not the opposition can talk about public opinion?

Does anybody know of a good present day mod/scenario? I was thinking that it would be cool to have a modern day Realpolitik.

No i havent. He hasnt been on since last night, but he said he wouldmove the cities and everything today so he will get on eventually.

How about i bulb theo, and move CoL/currency up in the tech plan, but you retract your slavery demand and dont talk about public opinion.

A present day mod would be difficult since there is so many nations, which would mean more CIVs. Then, if you took out some, then alot of nations would become more overpowered than others. Even if you didnt, the power balance would be difficult, and alot of work to make all those extra CIVs.

But then again, if we promise not to AR, then there's basically no need to EP.

Yeah. I downloaded one mod, but it took around two minutes for the AIs to play their turns and the USA (who also had Canada) and Sarkozy (who had all of Europe) were way overpowered. Also, the USA was basically at the end of the tech tree and had 5000 gold (how unrealistic!!! :p).

Im sorry, but your terms keep becoming lopsided in your favor. I am giving up 2 things, while you only give 1. And on AR, you would certainly lose, so we are not worried. Plus, why would you AR in the first place? It would only weaken us in the middle of a crisis.

First, don't measure amount by how many things I offered.

Second, don't be so sure about the whole you will win AR thing. If we did AR, we'd time it so all of our lurkers could raise their unit. And not all of your coalition members are readily available. Also, there's that Republican Guard thing to help us out.

This is almost my last offer:

How about you bulb Theo ASAP, and you don't declare EP, and we promise not to AR you this term, and we retract our formal demand about slavery.
