Yup. WE NEED THE GLANCE SCREEN. AND ACTIVE DEALS WHILE YOU'RE AT IT.

Wait, the Vikings don't have Norway? WTH?

EDIT: Crap, they're bigger than I thought.

Okay, no matter what units we end up producing, can we all agree that the Great General should be settled in Birmingham for the +XP Bonus?

Also: OH GOD! Ragnar's Huge! Good thing so much of his land is ice.

EDIT: When we go to war with Ragnar because, let's face it, at this point it's pretty much inevitable - What should be our primary target? Taking Poland or trying to deal Ragnar a massive blow by attacking Nidaros?

A more informative version of the map.

TROGDOOOOR!

Man! Vikings and Arabs are huge. I'm also pleasantly surprised that the Egyptians actually managed to expand into Anatolia for once. :D On the un-historical-ness of moving the capital to Ravus-York: The capital of the Angevin Empire was close to where we've built Ravus-York. So it's not entirely ahistorical to move the English capital there.

I'm just going to say that "historicalness" is not relevant to this game. we are writing our own history, ladies and gentlemen of The Parliament

Taking Poland or trying to deal Ragnar a massive blow by attacking Nidaros?
Taking Poland, for both in-game and IC reasons.

We should be dealing with the land nearest to us, because when war comes, we will be defending and the Vikings will be the aggressors. So we'll have to take out the cities that can cause harm to us, instead of Nidaros, which is somewhat further away.

Also, it makes more sense to be attacking an immediate threat in self-defense, rather than trying to deliver a counterattack, which might anger Ragnar even more.

Indeed, we should strike Poland. It both capture useful land, eliminate a nearby threat, unify all of the former Roman Empire, and be a symbolic victory, showing that Ragnar cannot protect his allies and vassals.

EDIT: I also fixed my problems with the chatroom.

EDIT2: I just noticed the tags; way past cool?

I was originally planning that, but now I am considering settling the General in Antium. If Birmingham has Barracks + Stables and builds only Knights, the extra 2 XP will not yield another promotion. However, settling the General in Antium (assuming Caesar never put one there) means we can get 2 promotion Catapults (or macemen or what have you). Normally, I would settle GGs in the HE city, but in this instance, it would not be the best move.

Do we have a GG healing unit? I would imagine that given the warfare to come in this game, it would be an essential part of our army.

If not with this GG, then the next one surely?

Yes, that would be you, Mech.

But my chariot only has medic I (and march for some reason).

Wait, what? Really? Uh oh. I guess I glanced at it and assumed it was promoted properly for a Medic unit (Medic I, Medic II, and Medic III). I'll keep this in mind as I decide what to do with the GG.

No. Just no. We must not change our true faith! Also, what would our people think if we were to betray them?

They wouldn't give two cents as long as they got their land and their food.

Get with the times yo.

Um... of course they would care. Would you like it if you were a Christian and your nation became officially Buddhist?

As long as I got my land, and my treatment was better than in the other place, as well as other factors, well duh yes.
